‘Connected’

• Clear, bold title of the film written in the same colour as the image of the men. Set out in a simple yet eye-catching format

• Striking image of the two men anchors the title as we can see they are both ‘connected’ hence the film name ‘Connected’. The image also indicates the main characters of the film.

• Details of the short film positioned at the bottom of the poster; including names of actors and director.

‘The Lethal Innocents’

• Central image of what can be assumed to be the protagonist which dominates the page. The background is blurred in order to make the audience focus on the protagonist.

• Clear title of the short film is positioned towards the bottom of the page. The scruffy, white font could suggest that violence may be involved. This adds to the idea that the film may be of a thriller genre.

• More details of the film below the title, similar to the previous poster.

‘Purge’

• Poster is dominated by a close up shot of what we can undertake as the protagonist.

• Background is blurred and main focus is on the face of the girl.

• Clear title positioned in the middle of the page besides the face of the girl. Written in a simple, white font . This keeps the poster simple yet striking.

• More information of the film placed at the bottom.

Overall…• From my research I have learnt that when creating my own poster I

should use appropriate colours to reflect the genre of my film.

• A key convention which I will be following is to use one central image of the protagonist so that all the focus is in one place.

• I will also be following the idea of the film name being bold and clear in a suitable font that will match the genre of my film.

• I may also include other details about the film such as the main actors name and directors name since this is another convention I came across.

• I really like the convention of the poster being simple yet attention-grabbing. I will definitely follow this as I don’t want my poster to look overdone; I would prefer it simple .
