There are codes and conventions that must be followed when producing a radio trailer. These are;

1) Should include clips from the programme. They should be short, intriguing in order to grab the listeners attention.

2) There must be a good slogan which will attract listeners. Catchy enough for them to remember it.

3) There must be an appropriate voiceover which should be relevant to the target audience, etc.

4) The trailer must end with the scheduling information of the programme, for example, the time, date and channel.

5) The script should be entertaining and intriguing to grab attention.

6) It should also use direct address and give a lot of information about the programme.
