The shot sizes are usually close ups/ medium close-ups.

The interviewees do not talk directly/ look directly at the camera.

Interviewees are never in the centre, always offset to the side (Rule of Thirds).

The graphics below (name and occupation, role, etc.) are used to identify them and show their relevance to the documentary.

The mise en scene is relevant (eg. background, clothing) to the topic and visually interesting or suitable.
