Powered by four Packard super charged engines, she won the 1932 and 1933 Harmsworth race & set a long standing world record of 124 mph! In 1929, she unsuccessfully challenged Miss America VII for the water speed record. The 1930 run about & the 1940 barrelback were built by the Chris Craft Co. The run about was marketed as a “gentle man’s craft” & reached speeds of 35 mph. The barrelbacks achieved 50 mph as “family outing” boats.
