COCHAMÓ TREKKING & ANDEAN LAKES KAYAKING

Day 1. From Puerto Varas to La Junta

Our inspiration is to share with the rest of the world the wild natural beauty of Chile: its forests, mountains, sea and its people.

We believe traveling is a great way to acquire knowledge and is a mean by which our senses open up to the beauty and wonder of life.

Day 2. Las Juntas / Arco iris hill Today is a big day, when the sun rises we will be surrounded by granite mountains. After 5 hours walking and climbing 2 fix ropes (easy and safe to do) we will be in the highlands of Cochamó Valley, place of Condors and climbers.

Our mission and commitment is to integrate in a respectful way our passengers into nature and the local culture, traveling with style and safety.

Safety is a priority in our trips, that’s why our guides are ENAM certified (National Mountain School), and have ACA (American Canoe Association) and WFR (Wilderness First Responder) credentials.

Day 3. Las Juntas / Río Puelo

Communication is essential and we travel with mobile and satellite phones and UHF radios. There’s always someone on call in Puerto Varas, available at all hours.

Day 4. Lake Tagua Tagua

Day 5. Azul Lake

Day 4. Lake Las Rocas

We use the best equipment that will perform under any weather: Mountain Hardwear and The North Face tents; Thermarest mats; Prijon and Necky kayaks and MSR cookware. We provide dry bags to make sure clothes and food stay dry.

It’s important to enjoy the trip; luggage is carried by load horses so we can hike comfortably and as rested as possible, discovering the trail and not staring at our feet all the time.

We travel with maps and aerial photos of the region, and our solid local network always has our back. Before heading off local authorities are given the route and dates of our itinerary.
