ROLLING UP BAMBOOTightly roll up the bamboo mat from one end after spraying with a solution of soapy water (one teaspoon soap liquid solution per litre). Take care to keep the fleece as flat and undisturbed as you can.

ROLLINGFirmly roll the bamboo mat back and forth at least 50 times before opening it up to check for fibre movement. Fibres should be well matted together and shouldn’t move when brushed against. If they do, continue rolling between 50 and 100 times more or until they are fixed. Rinse the scarf with very hot water, then allow to cool a little.

Repeat the entire process again, rotating the scarf through 90 degrees occasionally to control shrinkage in both directions. Do a final rinse to make sure all the soap is removed and then a final roll. Allow to dry on a flat surface.FINISHINGPlace a tea towel over the scarf, set your iron to the wool setting and press firmly to bond the fibres and flatten your scarf.Have fun!MATERIALShttp://www.winghamwoolwork.co.ukALI’S BLOG http://feltgoodfeltfine.com/wordpress/
