    SafetyThePatriotisadoubleactiononlypistolutilizingafiringpinblockingmechanism.Thefiringpinblockstopsthefiringpin,whichpreventsmovementofthefiringpinunlessthetriggerispulled.Squeezingthetriggermovesthefiringpinrearward,disengagingthefiringpinblock,allowingthefiringpintomoveforwardanddischargethepistol.

    AmmunitionForbestshootingandfunctionwerecommendFederalAmericanEagleammunitiononallCobraproducts.Useonlyoriginalfactorymanufacturedammunition.Theuseofhandloaded,reloaded,+Porothernon-standardammunitionvoidsallwarranties.*DONOTUSEHOTAMMUNITION.Feedingproblemsmayoccurusinghollowpointammunition.Itsuseisnotrecommended.

    Follow this maintenance procedure to ensurethat your pistol functions properly.

    AfterfiringyourCobrapistol,removemagazineandcheckchambertoensurethatallammunitionisremovedfrompistol.AfterfollowingtheDisassembly Instructionscleanthebarrelborewithapremiumqualitysolvent,afterremovingsolventandborebrushwipetheborecleanwithaborepatch.Removeallpowderandprimerdepositsfromaroundthebreechofthebarrelandchamber,cleanallmovingpartswithsolventandthencoatlightlywithrustpreventiveoil.

    NOTE:onlyalightapplicationofoilisneededtoprovidelubricationofmovingpartsandtopreventrust.Themagazineshouldalsobedisassembledandthoroughlycleaned.

    DISASSEMBLY:Unloadyourpistol.Pulltheslidebackandpushupontheslidestopuntilslideislockedopen.Usingtherimoftheanempty9mmcase,pulltheretainerpinfromthepistol.Pushthebarrelback.Whileholdingslide,releasetheslidestop;allowtheslidetoslowlymoveforwardofftheframe.Removerecoilspringandbarrel.Nofurtherdisassemblyisrecom-mended.Donotrotatefiringpinscrew,itisfactoryadjusted.

    ASSEMBLY:Makesurethebarrelandrecoilspringarewellcenteredwhenputtingthembackintheslide.Pushtheslideontotheframeandpushupontheslidestopuntilslideislockedopen.Allowbarreltofallcompletelyforward.Lookintotheretainerpinholeandalignthatholewiththeslotinthebarrel.Inserttheretainerpinandpushthepinthroughuntilitengageswiththespring.Workslideafewtimestochecktheaction.DO NOT DRY FIRE thePatriot9,thePatriot380oranypistol.

    LOADING THE PISTOL:Afterloading10roundsinthemagazine,holdthepistolinonehandwiththemuzzlepointinginasafedirectionandwithyourfingeroffthetriggerandoutsidethetriggerguard,inserttheloadedmagazineintothegripuntilitislockedinplace.Checktomakesuremagazineissecure.Pullslidebackandrelease,iftheslideisalreadyback,presstheslidestopdownandallowslidetocarryfullyforward.Thisprocedureplacesthefirstroundintothechamberandthepistolisreadytofire.DANGER:Keephandsfromthemuzzleendatalltimes.DO NOT carryorstorewithliveroundinthechamberuntilyouarereadytoshoot.Loadindica-torwillbeintheuppositionwhenloaded.

    UNLOADING WITHOUT FIRING:Alwayspointyourpistolinasafedirection,Beforeattemptingtounloadyourpistol,pushmagazinereleaseuntilmagazinecanberemovedfrompistol.Aftermagazinehasbeenremoved,pullslidebacktoextractroundfromthechamber.Keepfingersawayfromtriggerandmuzzle.Visuallyinspectthechambertomakesureitisempty.

    Alwaysmakecertainpistolisunloadedbeforefieldstripping.RemovetheMagazine,cleartheChamberbymanuallyretractingtheslideallthewaytotherear.VisuallyinspecttheBarrelChambertobesureitisempty.GrasptheSlide,pulltotherearapproximately1/4toalignDisassemblyNotchwiththeRetainerPin(C401-5).UsingablunttoolpushtheRetainerPin(C401-5)outoftheFrame(RighttoLeft)andremovecompletely.PullTriggerallthewaytotherearandhold.WhileholdingtheTriggerback,gentlypulltheslideforwarduntilitstops,approximately3/4.Gentlycontinueforwardpressureontheslidewhilereleasingthetrigger.Releasingbothatthesametime.Theentireslideassemblywillglideforwardofftheframe.

    StrikerAssemblyRemovalUsingabluntpunch,3/32diameterorsmaller,insertpunchthroughtheholeintheRearCover(C101-13)todepresstheRearCoverPlunger(C401-20)WhileholdingthePlungerdown,easetheRearCoverupandoutoftheSlide.RetaincontroloftheStrikerRodAssemblywhiletheRearCoverclearstheslide,(Reminder,theassemblyisspringloaded).TheStrikerRodassembly,maynowbecompletelyremovedfromtheSlide.

    CAUTION:DoNOTattempttodisassembletheStrikerRodassembly.Nofurtherdisassemblyisrecommendedforroutinecleaningandmaintenanceexceptbyfactory-trainedtechnician.

    Patriot 45 only AssemblyPlaceFiringPinReturnSpring(C501-6)overFiringPin,insertStrikerRodAssembly(C401-12A)intorearofFiringPin.SlipentireassemblyintorearofSlide.DepressassemblyandholdwhileslidingRearCover(C101-13)partiallyintoposition.Maintaincontroloftheentireassembly,useasmallblunttooltodepressandholdtheRearCoverPlunger(C401-20).SlidetheRearCoverintoposition.Wheninstalledcorrectly,thePlungerwillsnapintotheholelocatedintheRearCover. Barrel AssemblyHoldslideupsidedown,installtheBarrel(C401-13)(muzzleendfirst).PressdownuntilBarrellocksintoplace.GraspRecoilRodassembly(C401-21A)andplacetheopenendintotheBarrelLug(lockingposition).SlightlycompresstheSpringassemblyintotheNotchontheBarrelLug(lockingposition).The Slide assembly can now be installed on the Frame.PulltheSlidebackuntiltheDisassemblyNotchlinesupwiththeRetainerPin(C401-5)holeintheFrame.InserttheRetainerPincompletelyintotheFrame(LefttoRight).SlowlyreleasetheSlideforwardtoitsoriginalposition.

    (2)Itshallbeunlawfulforanypersonwhoisajuveniletoknowinglypossess--- (A)ahandgun;or (B)ammunitionthatissuitableforuseonlyinahandgun.(3)Thissubsectiondoesnotapplyto (A)atemporarytransferofahandgunorammunitiontoajuvenileortothepossessionoruseofahandgunorammunitionbyajuvenileifthehandgunandammunitionarepossessedandusedbythejuvenile- (i)inthecourseofemployment,inthecourseofranchingorfarmingrelatedactivitiesattheresidenceofthejuvenile(oronpropertyusedforranchingorfarmingatwhichthejuvenile,withpermissionofthepropertyownerorlessee,isperformingactivitiesrelatedtotheoperationofthefarmorranch),targetpractice,hunting,oracourseofinstructioninthesafeandlawfuluseofahandgun;

    (ii)withthepriorwrittenconsentofthejuvenilesparentorguardianwhoisnotprohibitedbyFederal,State,orlocallawfrompossessingafirearm,except--- (I)duringtransportationbythejuvenileofsanunloadedhandguninalockedcontainerdirectlyfromtheplaceoftransfertoaplaceatwhichanactivitydescribedinclause(i)istotakeplaceandtransportationbythejuvenileofthathandgun,unloadedandinalockedcontainer,directlyfromtheplaceatwhichsuchanactivitytookplacetothetransferor;or

    (II)withrespecttoranchingorfarmingactivitiesasdescribedinclause(i),ajuvenilemaypossessanduseahandgunorammunitionwiththepriorwrittenapprovalofthejuvenilesparentorlegalguardianandatthedirectionofanadultwhoisnotprohibitedbyFederal,State,orlocallawfrompossessingafirearm;(iii)Thejuvenilehasthepriorwrittenconsentinthejuvenilespossessionatalltimeswhenahandgunisinthepossessionofthejuvenile;and (iv)InaccordancewithStateandlocallaw; (B)ajuvenilewhoisamemberoftheArmedForcesoftheUnitedStatesortheNationalGuardwhopossessesorisarmedwithahandguninthelineofduty; (C)atransferbyinheritanceoftitle(butnotpossession)ofahandgunorammunitiontoajuvenile;or (D)thepossessionofahandgunorammunitionbyajuveniletakenindefenseofthejuvenileorotherpersonsagainstanintruderintotheresidenceofthejuvenileoraresidenceinwhichthejuvenileisaninvitedguest.

    (4)Ahandgunorammunition,thepossessionofwhichistransferredtoajuvenileincircumstancesinwhichthetransferorisnotinviolationofthissubsectionshallnotbesubjecttopermanentconfiscationbytheGovernmentifitspossessionbythejuvenilesubsequentlybecomesunlawfulbecauseoftheconductofthejuvenile,butshallbereturnedtothelawfulownerwhensuchhandgunorammunitionisnolongerrequiredbytheGovernmentforthepurposesofinvestigationorprosecution.

    (5)Forpurposesofthissubsection,thetermjuvenilemeansapersonwhoislessthan18yearsofage.(6)(A)Inaprosecutionofaviolationofthissubsection,thecourtshallrequirethepresenceofajuveniledefendantsparentorlegalguardianatallproceedings. (B)Thecourtmayusethecontemptpowertoenforcesubparagraph(A). (C)Thecourtmayexcuseattendanceofaparentorlegalguardianofajuveniledefendantataproceedinginaprosecutionofaviolationofthissubsectionforgoodcauseshown.

    18 U.S.C 924(a) (6) (6)(A)(i)Ajuvenilewhoviolatessection922(x)shallbefinedunderthistitle, imprisonednotmorethan1year,orboth,exceptthatajuveniledescribedin clause(ii)shallbesentencedtoprobationonappropriateconditionsandshallnot beincarceratedunlessthejuvenilefailstocomplywithaconditionofprobation.
