Precise and efficient Coaxial power nozzles guide powder through a coniform annular gap, which encircles the laser beam, into the melt pool. Thanks to this coniform powder supply, a powder-jet focus of less than 0.4 mm can be reached. This way, even for narrow deposition tracks of less than a millimeter, high powder efficiency is attained. The compact construction of the powder nozzles enables locations to be processed which are difficult to reach. The connection of the powder nozzle on a modular cladding head allows a simple and quick exchanging of the different nozzle types (selection of powder focus and maximum laser power). This way, a machine can easily be adapted to perform different cladding tasks. The integrated water cooling guarantees continuous operation. An adaptation to different optics is possible.
