Confidence is MODERATE that this event will occur, and we are
expecting SIGNIFIGANT impacts.
Period of greatest impact: Wednesday evening through Thursday
morning.
2” – 4” of snow. Brief period of rain late morning and early
afternoon will change to snow from west to east late afternoon
& evening. Heaviest snow Wednesday night along coastal NC.
Hazardous travel due to snow covered roads, especially
during the evening commute. Heavy snow and wind at
Wednesday night may cause whiteout conditions along the
coast. Icy conditions will linger Thursday morning until
temperatures rise above freezing by mid Thursday morning.
Gale force winds and rough seas over the waters.
