“CO2 capturing compressor to

separate methane from biogas and

landfill gas”

Dr Amit Roy

CEO

Dirty-wet gas compression + scrubbing + drying in a single step to

produce bio-CO2 & CNG fuel from biogas. (no membrane, no PSA)

Near Iso-thermal compression, no cooling required.

No moving parts in the compression chamber.

Robust, rugged, 98% volumetric efficiency.

90% less footprint,

70% lower cost,

50% greater overall efficiency.

ultra light weight, made of inert HDPE pipes.

Scalable to 1000 kg CNG /day plants.

Which problems do we solve

Problems:

1. Raw biogas cannot be compressed or transported without costly gas-purification. This

resulted into vast amount of stranded feedstock, or biogas/landfill gas being wasted/flared.

2. Back up power/energy storage is expensive using batteries. Diesel gensets are polluting.

Solutions

1. Engas UK offering a complete package: i) biogas upgrading, ii) compression, iii) injection to gas

grid, iv) refueling & v) power generation using bio-CNG at a much lower cost.

2. Build, own, operate plants along with stranded gas owners to sell biomethane and electricity.

Rapid production capability

Why the customer should buy it

• Input: 500 Nm3/h raw biogas.

• Purified to 4500 kg / day biomethane.

• Application: refuelling

• 1kg CNG ~ 1lt diesel, so saving £1/kg CNG, so saving up to £1575,000 / year.

• Additionally there is £0.71 RTFC income / kg bio- CNG (waste derived). So further up to

£1102,500 income through RTFCs.

Total potential value of bio CNG= £2677,500 / year to pay for the Capex/ Opex.
