The call to holiness is an undeniable requirement arising from the very mystery of the Church.
The forms and tasks of life are many but there is one holiness, which is cultivated by all who are led by the God’s Spirit.
Lay men and women hear and answer the universal call to
holiness primarily and uniquely in the secular realm…they are call by God to contribute to the sanctification of the world from within like leaven, by fulfilling
their own particular duties.
All of the baptized are called to work toward the
transformation of the world. Most do it by working in the world, some in building the ecclesial community, which has among its purposes the transformation of the world.

The laity can also feel called, or in fact be called, to cooperate with their pastors in the servi8ce of the ecclesial community, for the sake of its growth and life.
