Co- Curricular Achievements in the Session 2017-18
Two students of class VII participated in
Akhil Bhartiya Sangeet Pratiyogita held on
20th Feb 2018. This is an annual event held
in Allahabad under Prayag Sangeet
Samiti. Both the students give tabla solo
performance and Aditiya Harguni bagged
position in just 4 months training.
There were nine participants from
different regions of our country.
M.P Rose Society organised a Painting
Competition On 7th January 2018 where
200 students of our school participated and
Sachit Bhargava of Std II was awarded III
rd Prize.
IPS organised ‘Luminance’ an Inter School
Competition on 21st & 22nd December for
the students of class I to III. Students from
DPS Kolar Road participated and
showcased their creative skills in colouring
and computers.
Vaidehi Sewani of class III bagged the First
Position in Origami Competition.
Vivika Sharma of class I bagged the Second
Position in Painting Competition.
Ruhi Bhanpukar of class III bagged the
Third Position in Origami Competition.

IPS organised an Inter School Radio Jockey
Competition on 22 December for the
students of classes IV and V. Four Students
from DPS Kolar Road participated and
depicted social issues..
Seerat Jaitly of class IV bagged the First
Position for the same.
IPS organised an Inter School Debate
Competition on 22nd December, ‘Spotania,
Ananya Pariyani of class VIII won the
Runners Up Trophy. She spoke against the
motion.
DPS Kolar participated in an Inter school
Instrumental Music Competition organised
by Ryan International School, Bhopal on
18th December 2017. Our Students gave a
commendable performance and bagged 1st
Position in junior category and were
declared II Runner up in senior category

An Inter School Singing Competition was
organised at Lal Parade Ground under the
aegis of International Herbal Fair on 17th
December 2017. Nine Students participated
from Delhi Public School Kolar Road.
The competition had two categories
(Group & Solo ). Our school participated in
both the categories and bagged 2nd
position in Solo Song Category .
Singdha Dwivedi of class VII bagged the
1st Position and Aarohi Nagar of class XI
got Consolation Prize.
Sakshi Khare of Class VII got the Second
Position in Solo Dance competition.
Revathy Telang of class IX got the third
position in solo dance.
An Inter School Carol Singing Competition
was organized for classes IV to VIII. 14
students from DPS Kolar Road
participated and among 8 schools our
school bagged the First Position in junior
category.
India International Model of United Nations
(2017) Bhopal Chapter was organised at
DPS Neelbad from 8th – 10th December
2017.
26 students from DPS Kolar Road
participated in the same. They represented
the delegates of the various committees of
the United Nations.

class XI bagged Special Mention Award.
Delhi Public School, Neelbad hosted Annual Inter School Literary festival ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns on 1st December under the aegis of DPS society to commemorate Jane Austen’s 200th death anniversary. DPS Kolar Road participated in both online and onsite competitions.

Billabong High School has organised an Inter School Event Sophrosyne, between 21st -24th November,2017. DPS kolar participated in different categories. Another success to add to the glory of DPS kolar road.

were the successful winners of craft whack ( Best Out Of Waste) in the middle school category. The theme for the same was Fashion. The three events namely Gamer Z( High school), Gamer Z united (F I F A) and Brain Teaser (Middle School). 1.In Brain Teaser (Middle School) which was conducted on 21st November Yashas Shende & Rishabh Kothari secured second position. 2. Digital Canvas(IT Quiz) Senior Computer Quiz Priyanshu Asthana XI, Anurag Chittawar IX bagged Second Runner’s Up position. 3. Vatsal Verma XII, Azam Husain Khan are the Second Runners Up in Gamer ‘Z’ United (High School –FIFA). * A great day of achievements for DPS Kolar. Our students Anurag Chittavar ,Ananya Jaitly and Anirudh Kumar in the High School category bagged the Runners Up position in the Spellathon competition held by Education Edge at Billabong High School. In the Middle School category

Hersh Tripathi ,Vihaan Khare and Aditya Sai Vardhan stood first and bagged the Winner’s Trophy. Students in the primary school category also showed remarkable performances Amongst the top 10 renowned school of the city, they were placed 4th.
“START UP INDIA” A Painting Competition was organised by Ace Vision Publisher Pvt Ltd on 17th November 2017, 22 students from DPS Kolar Road participated. Students brought laurels to the school by winning prizes & they were awarded at Campion School Bhopal. Competition on 17th November 2017. The
topic for the debate was – Indian
Parliament is the mirror of Democracy 17
schools participated in this competition.

Second Position and she got a cash prize of
Rs. 7,500 and a certificate

An Inter DPS Hindustani vocal Music
National Festival was held at DPS
Faridabad on 10th November 2017. 8
students participated in this competition.
The team secured Second Position at the
Zonal Level after which it qualified for
National Level
Students of Delhi Public School Kolar Road
excelled at Wiz National Spell Bee State
Grand Finale at Indore on 5th November.
Arush Navkar of class 5 bagged Second
Position in the state and qualified for
Nationals at Kolkata on 26th December.
A State Level Hindi Debate Competition
was held at Indira Gandhi National Human
Museum for classes VIII – XII, on 1st
November 2017
Pavitra Rajput of class XI secured Second
Position and a cash prize of 700. Saksham
Agarwal of class XI got a Consolation
Prize.

A Mock Parliament Session International
forum of Culture and Education Youth
conclave (PICE-YC) organised ,its chapter of
Bhopal of the model United Nations at
St.Joseph Convent School by Ms.Devendar
kaur & Dr. Anamika Shrivastava .Three
students of DPS Kolar Road participated
namely Janhvi Palandurkar (XI- D),Roli
Rajpali (XI-D) and Saksham Agarwal (XI-D).
Janhvi Palandurkar(Delegates of
U.S.A),Roli Rajpali (delegates of Beligium)
were Awarded High Commendation and
hence brought Laurel to the school.
A team of 16 students from DPS Kolar
participated in Sanskar Valley Tech Fest on
14th October 2017. The students
participated enthusiastically and brought
laurels to the school the second
consecutive year. A total of 14 schools

4 students from Classes III to VIII
participated in the ‘Wild Wisdom Quiz
2017’ on 6th September 2017 which was
conducted in Saint Theresa School, Piplani.
In the Middle School Category, the team of
DPS Kolar won the 1st position and
qualified for the Final National Level Quiz
to be held in Delhi in the month of October.
DPS Kolar Computer Science team
participated in Inter DPS School (c)ync V4.0
competition which was held at DPS
Neelbad, Bhopal on 15th July 2017. Fifteen
schools and 160 students from all over
Bhopal participated in this competition.
DPS Kolar won three prizes.

The Youth Hostels Association of India
organized an ‘Inter School Spot Painting
Competition’ on 2nd April 2017 which was
sponsored by ‘Reliance Jewels’ at Youth
Hostel, New Market, Bhopal.
The Results of the competition are as
follows:
(1) Group II (Classes IV to VII)
Ms. Avani Bhavsar Telkar of Class VII
bagged the First Prize.
(2) Group III (Classes VIII to X )
Ms. Khushi Telkar of Class IX stood
Second.
Ms. Roli Rajpali of Class X received
Consolation Prize.
An event ‘Tirangaa Celebrating 2017’ was
organised at Asnani School, Bhopal, for the
students of Classes III to V. Twelve
students of DPS Kolar participated in ‘Best
from Waste’ and ‘Mask Making
Competition’.
Manit Chopra of Class III, Annika Bichpuriya
of Class IV and Vedant Singh of Class V
secured the 2nd position in ‘Mask Making
Competition’.

Every year students donate generously to
Help Age India, and help for a social cause.
This year the donation made by DPS Kolar
Road was Rs. 2,37,593 the highest in
Madhya Pradesh. Help Age India awarded
the students and a Special Appreciation
Trophy was given to school. Special award
of social service was awarded to Ms.
Shilpee Verma and Best Cadet Trophy was
awarded to Dhruv Nagar of Class IX .
The Birth Anniversary of Shri Gurudev
Guptaji, the Father Figure of Delhi Public
School Kolar Road Bhopal. This day is
marked by organising an ‘Inter School
Dance Competition’ where in 8 prominent
schools of Bhopal participated. The theme
for the competition was ‘Path Pradarshan -
Doing what is Right’.
The programme was graced by the benign
presence of Shri Nitin Ambaselkar,
Treasurer, JSWS, Bhopal & Chief Accounts
Officer, Delhi Public School Bhopal-Indore-
Kolar Road. All the schools put up a great
show.
The Winner Trophy was bagged by DPS
Kolar Road Bhopal, Billabong High
International School bagged the Runners -
Up Trophy.
