NCSMO ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE 2011 CRYPTOGRAPHIC SOLUTIONS SUMMIT: 

 

 

The Third Annual Cryptographic Solutions Summit will be held in the Maryland Conference Room located at the L‐3 STRATIS Building, 2720 Technology Drive, Annapolis Junction, Maryland, 19 – 21 July 2011. 

The Cryptographic Solutions Summit was established to provide a forum to share information and synchronize activities across the diverse cryptographic solutions community of interest.  Typical attendance for the Cryptographic Solutions Summit includes representatives from the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Departments and Service Labs, our Combined Communications and Electronics Board (CCEB) partners as well as industry. 

The theme of the 2011 Cryptographic Solutions Summit is Cryptographic Solutions in Support of Cyberspace Operations.  The 2011 Cryptographic Solutions Summit will hold discussions on the following focus areas:  Cryptographic Solutions in Support of Cyberspace Operations to include Active Network Defense, Senior Leadership Engagement, the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC) process and Community Update. 

Registration for the Summit will be accomplished through the IA Events page on the nsa.gov web site:  http://www.nsa.gov/ia/events/index.shtml.  Registration will open on or about June 1, 2011.  Conference information and security clearance passing instructions will be available on the registration page as well as on the NCSMO web site.

SPRING 2013 CRYPTOGRAPHIC SOLUTIONS TECHNICAL ADVISORY GROUP ADMINISTRATIVE DETAILS

1. General. The spring 2013 Cryptographic Solutions Technical Advisory Group (CSTAG) will take place 30 April to 1 May 2013 at the Howard C. Barlow Auditorium, FANX III in Linthicum Heights, MD. Participants in the Aberdeen to Quantico corridor are strongly encouraged to attend in person, but for those outside the local area the CSTAG will be broadcast via JWICS VTC. The spring 2013 CSTAG will be heavily focused on improving community understanding of the IAD requirements process and an opportunity for Services to provide updates on the status of cryptographic modernization. Vendors will not be permitted to attend the CSTAG.

2. Location. For participants in the Aberdeen to Quantico corridor, the CSTAG will take place at the Howard C. Barlow Auditorium, FANX III in Linthicum Heights, MD. The CSTAG will also be broadcast via JWICS VTC (JWICS ID TBD).

3. Agenda. The draft agenda is attached. If Service CIO or Service CM Program Offices have specific topics they wish to have added to agenda, they should contact Maj (CA) John Moore at 410-854-7305 or [email protected] by 22 Mar 2013.

4. Classification. This working group will be at the SECRET//REL USA, AUS, CAN, GBR, NZL level.

5. Registration. Registration for the CSTAG will be through NCSMO’s unclassified website at http://www.iad.gov/ncsmo. Clearances for the working group must be sent to NCSMO separately. Registration for the CSTAG will be open until 23 April 2013. NCSMO will vet all registrations and may confirm attendees through their respective Service CIO or CM Program Office.

6. Security Clearances. In order to attend the CSTAG at the physical location, you MUST accomplish BOTH items below by 24 April 2013. If you have a TOP SECRET SCI clearance, please include that in the clearance message, otherwise you will require an escort outside of the auditorium. NOTE: You will not be admitted to FANX III without completing both items below. Second Party attendees will utilize their normal processes for submitting Visit Clearance Requests and Clearance Certification Requests.

Barlow Auditorium, FANX III, participants may park at the FANX South Overflow Parking Lot located at the junction of MD 170 (Aviation Blvd) and Elkridge Landing Rd. A shuttle runs approximately every 12 minutes from the FANX South Overflow Parking Lot to the FANX Visitor Control Center (VCC). A representative from NCSMO will meet participants at the VCC to issue security badges and escort personnel to the Howard C. Barlow Auditorium.

Event: The 6th Nuclear C3 Cryptographic Modernization (CM) Working Group (WG) will be held on 8 August 2012, at the L3 STRATIS Maryland Conference Center

Purpose:

This year's Nuclear C3 CM WG will focus on providing the community with status updates on Nuclear C3 cryptographic modernization efforts. Program Offices and Agencies representatives are encouraged to present issues or obstacles that are negatively impacting their CM implementation.

Classification Level: The Working Group will be held at the SECRET//REL TO USA, FVEY level.

** SVTC will not be available**

There are two steps that MUST be completed for the Working Group registration: Step 1-Acknowledge your attendance to the Nuclear C3 CM WG by sending RSVP message to the email below to ensure seat availability. Step 2- Forward your clearance information to the L3 STRATIS. Please make sure you complete both steps.
