CNM to UNM Anderson Transfer Information ADVISEMENT: Meet with your CNM Academic Coach/School Advisor and let them know you are interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from UNM’s Anderson School of Management. They will advise you on the Associate of Arts in Business, which aligns with the ASM Pre-Admission requirements. Schedule an appointment with your Anderson Advisor. You do not need to be an admitted UNM student, to meet with your Anderson Advisor. Bring your completed Pre-Admission Requirements Sheet. UNM Advisors do not have access to your CNM records. You do not need to earn your Associate’s Degree, nor do you need to complete your Anderson pre-admission requirements, before being eligible for admission into UNM.     ADVISEMENT:

    The Associate of Arts in Business degree fulfills the Pre-Admission requirements for UNM’s Anderson School of

    Management. In addition, students need at least a 2.5 GPA. There is no application to the Anderson School of

    Management. Once you have completed the Pre-Admission Requirements, you will automatically be eligible for

    consideration for admission into your program. It is important for you to establish a relationship with your CNM and

    UNM Anderson Advisors early and often. You do not need to be an admitted UNM student to meet with your UNM

    Anderson Advisor.

    Please note that CNM Business Administration Associate of Applied Science Degree does not satisfy UNM Anderson

    UNM Anderson Pre-Admission Requirement

    *Courses meet NM General Education Core, and are required for the Business Associate of Arts Degree. However, these

    courses are not required for admission to UNM Anderson. These courses will transfer to UNM Anderson as Free Electives.

    Between 25-34 Free Elective Credits are required for the Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA). Please note that

    BLAW 2110 is not part of the NM General Education Core, but is required for the CNM Business Associate of Arts Degree.

    Meet with your UNM Anderson Advisor to discuss how you may apply your Free Elective Credits to your BBA.

  • CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE BBA PROGRAM

    The UNM Anderson Preadmission Curriculum applies to all BBA degree-seeking students who are admitted to UNM for or after Fall 2019. A grade of C or better, not C-, is required for all courses used to fulfill the requirements of the UNM/Anderson Core Curriculum. These courses cannot be taken CR/NC to satisfy Anderson admission requirements.

    Pre-business students will be considered for automatic admission and do not need to apply. Transfer students should apply for admission to the BBA Program the semester before they wish to enter Anderson.

    For admission to the BBA Program, students must achieve a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 in the following 40 credit hours and a 2.5 overall GPA (includes grades for all classes taken at UNM plus grades for all transfer credits). Students must take a minimum of 24 credit hours in residence at Anderson as an admitted BBA student.
