Admittance requirements consist of passing a background check and a physical exam, proof of immunizations, sit in on an orientation class, complete a test for pre- assessment and be a minimum of 17 years old. Wayne County Community College (Detroit) This is a 10 credit CNA course that includes 128 in class hours and 58 clinical hourse, in which admittance prerequisites consist of; a health exam, high school diploma or GED, 2 reference letters, a background check and immunizations. Students in the CNA program in Michigan must attain a minimum of a C in all course work to graduate. Bay De Noc Community College (Escanaba) This course offers 120 hours in training in which in class, clinical and skills labs will consist of 40 hours each. To get into this CNA class in Michigan you must have a clean background check, a medical exam with good results, have a high school diploma or GED as well as be a minimum of 18 years of age.
