With an established track record of successful billion ringgit mega projects – Cergas Murni SdnBhd (CMSB) is Malaysia’s high achieving civil and structural contractor in the bridges andhighway building industry since its founding in 1986

Known in the industry as a Class A and G7 Contractor Bumiputra contractor, Cergas Murni isfamed for its tenacity to complete projects within its deadlines.

It has earned them numerous citations of appreciation from the highways and buildingsauthorities as well as awards such as the MSOSH – safety and health award and JKRMalaysia’s Longest Serving Contractor.

Presently, CMSB’s ongoing East Coast Construction (such as various phase packages ofLebuhraya Pantai Timur and the Eastern Corridor Economic Region project) prove thecombined engineering and management skills of Cergas Murni as they showcase works ofincredible skill, management, quality and imagination.

CMSB was prequalified for Malaysia’s biggest infrastructure project, My Rapid Transit (MRT)primary work packages. It went under the rigorous process that includes financial capabilities,track records, experiences, management staff and key personnel, as well as its existingquality, safety, health and environmental practices.

Towering over this on the west coast is the much anticipated Second Penang Bridge project –the Batu Maung Interchange which was opened to public on March 1st 2014.

Aided with its company certification – namely ISO 9001 : 2008, ISO 14001 : 2004 & OSHAS18001 : 2007 – CMSB is reliable, always hands on and delivering construction projects.

of bridges to link the rural areas to the fast developing

Cergas Murni’s expertise in the filed of building structures

is undeniable and one clear example is the construction of

a three spans precast BEBO Reinforced Concrete arch

bridge leading to the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya.

The central span which is 27.07m long, is so far the

longest span overfilled precast BEBO arch structure in the

world.

Aside, Cergas Murni is specializes in building elevated

structures such as water tanks, notably one, Water tank

Project with capacity of 725,000 gallons in Pedas, Negeri Sembilan, for Malaysian Industrial Estates Berhad.

Apart from bridges and structural works, Cergas Murni is

also involved in road work projects.

Cergas Murni has successfully completed more than 8

projects worth RM415 Million around Malaysia both in

rural and urban areas.

Cergas Murni has always been ever ready to assist the

Clients in any emergency or recovery works needed such

as the Sierramas bridge work at Sungai Buloh.

The contract involved the strengthening of the existing

pile cap and foundation, the demolition of 2 spans of the

existing bridge. The scope also involved the widening of

the river channel and L-Shaped wall river lining and the

construction of a single span bridge.

Cergas Murni also successfully solve the flood problem in

Sungai through completing the flood mitigation and widening of Sungai Gasi in Sungai Buloh. The project took

only about 12 months. With the remarkable job completion, JKR Malaysia had given Cergas Murni appreciation letters

for completing the projects ahead of schedules.

Director of Finance and Administration for CMSB since

1992. Prior to CMSB, Datin Paduka Khatijah had been

involved in Plantation and Engineering Sector since 1974.

Actively involves in social activities and sits in various

welfare associations, most notably Rumah Amal Cheshire

Selangor as The President.

Awarded with the Prime Minister's Woman Entrepreneur

and Woman Social Activist Awards in the year 2011.

Y. Bhg Dato’ Paul LatimerD.I.M.P.

Project Director since establishment of CSMB. Dato’

Paul has more than 30 years of construction experiences

mainly in earthworks, bridges, highways, roadworks and

other civil works.

Previously, he was the Senior Project Manager for

Bina Puri and had contributed tremendous achievements

for the government and private sectors with high success

and delivery rate.

Director since 2011 and oversees the East Coast

project operations. Overseen RM235 Mil worth of projects

since 2009 and currently heads the CMSB’s East Coast

Highway , Phase 2, projects worth RM300 Mil.

Dedicated and committed civil engineer and eager to

establish CMSB’s name in the market together with

other 50 fellow professionals. One of En. Mahazir

success in CMSB was to establish a young and dynamic

team of engineers to overcome challenges and achieve

remarkable delivery rate to our Clients.

Business Development Director for CMSB since 1997.

Responsible to spearheading CMSB’s involvement in the

gained experiences in M&E, earthworks through

The United Overseas Bank, Maybank and Hong Leong Bank have been

very supportive to the Company and provides all necessary financing

for its operations.

With its financial strength, CMSB has Overdraft & Letter of Credit worth RM116Mil

available for any project investment.

In addition to the above, the Company has its disposal 15% advance

available on all government funded projects.
