ABOUT ME

I am Persian and I am passionate aboutgeometry and solidness in Architecture. I have done my �rst year of degree overseas. I transfered to University ofMelbourne last year.I am familiar withAutocad but I have never used Rihno.This is my �rst experience with Digital Architecture and I am excited to learn new approaches.My other passions are sculpture and photography .

Discovery center and place for cultural exchange at Hearing Island

I like many architectural styles.HoweverMy favorit architects are Mario Botta and Gaodi.What I like about Mario Botta’s Architecture is the idea ofgeometry, usage of brick and thearrangemnt of hallow colomns aspart of main structural system. I extremly admire his approach in using stair cases, as one his main principals indesigning builidng.

Gaodi is my favorit Spanish architect.The Gothic approach in his buildingsis unique. The structural system that he uses is modi�ed very well.

The breif required four main spaces. Indiginouse place, a clonlisation , displacement and contemperorly culturespace.

My design concept for this centre was “ hidden stories” that exists between Indiginous and clonial people. I designedthe clonial spaces under the ground. I arranged the underground spcae in a way that visitor may not have any clue about the underground spcae.

The other major concept of my designwas to �t within the landscape. Adapting with the environemnt, is one of the prinicipals in Indigiounse culture. Inorder to cut less tree I located the building in the areas that has minimumchance of cutting trees .

The centre is mainly included of twounderground spacses and two elevatedspcaes. The elevated spaces represent the Indiginous spaces while the underground spacses represent the Clonialculture. All these four main areas areconnected through a corridor wich symbolise the reconcileation ofIndiginous and Clonial culture.

Saint Maria has a unique architectural style. The reason is, this builing wasdesigned in modern timebut it seems as a Romanarchitecture. It has apicturesque view to thelandscape. Botta mixes the principals of Italian architecture with creativeapproch.

The innovative way of allocating the starir caseat the view point of building.locating stairs generates thesencse of movement for thevisitor.

There are many debates on archiectural discourse. Dependingon di�erent diciplines , “ discourse” may refer to di�erent nothins.

As Ramply claim(2005),Architecture is the most public of art.It is capable on a daily basis for anyone living in an urban society” .As human beings, architecture has great impact on our daily life. Theporportion of rooms, colors and sunlight acccess may extremly a�fects us. In Ancient times architectuure was used to imposethe certain feeling to the vistor. For instance in E gypt,massive structureswere built ot indicate the power of Ferros.

In modern time, complexity of technology and domination of industralisation , has changed the role of architecture . “ For Frampton, golbal capitalism has such power that its generic shoppingmall, petrol stations , motorways,skyscrapers and speulativehousing have utterly swamped the business of architecture.Archiecture is not to be found in theses things; quite the reverse: it is the business of resisting them. Ramply(2005).

Digital architecture is a new approach in desiging building. Thistype of archiecture seems to be more e�cient in the industry.with computer modeling and di�ernt plug in any kind of complexarchitecture is posssible. For instance the un�nished part of thechurch,design by Gaudi is now under constrcution.It is with theaid of digital architecture that many complex issuse in architecture will be solved.
