Our City Mgr was officially notified last year by the director of Cal Fire of a state gov’t code requiring us to notify the public of a designation of certain properties located in the red area of our map identified in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. The properties required to: 1. Inspection of homes by FD to meet new brush clearance requirements 2. Ignition Resistant Construction for new buildings 3. Disclose info about this zone when selling a property, similar to flood and earthquake zones Completed custom map template, reviewed with our Fire Marshal and made revisions as needed. Experimented with numerous PDF export settings, maximized for best legibility to filesize for CC website. Anissa completed adding links.

CRIME MAPPING We are finalizing our selection process and will be moving forward soon. GOALS: -comprehensive joint-agency crime mapping; interoperability benefits for agencies within our Westside regional grouping. -We are big on analytics and data analysis. -timely investigative resource sharing, -utilization of advanced and relevant solutions both at the desktop and in-the-field. The solutions under review for this multi-jurisdiction effort include (in current ranking order): -Crime View (Omega Group, Inc. – ESRI map based) -ATAC Raids/Raids Online (Bair Analytics, Inc. – ‘now’ ESRI map based) -Crime Reports.com (Public Engines, Inc. – Google map based) We very much like and are keenly aware of the benefits of Google maps and the Public Engines solution does a commanding job of taking advantage of that, however our need for uniform interoperability and more comprehensive analysis tools takes priority. Each solution provides a free public crime mapping element that can be deployed.
