Every choice made about the development of our sixth form is based on this goal, from the choice of subjects on offer to our provision for higher education and careers.

1. Advice & Guidance for University and Careers: Visits from universities and outgoing university visits give students access to experts.

3. Employer Engagement: Opportunities to gain experience in work placements that will challenge you and give perspective, as well as one-to-one, practice interviews with business leaders.

4. Edge Award: A qualification recognised by the CBI (representing 250,000 businesses) designed to give students’ employment prospects an edge by developing personal attributes like leadership and teamwork.

5. Student Focused Sixth Form Transformation: The development of the sixth form is ongoing in order to provide even more beneficial experiences for our students. Students are listened to and can have a real impact on changes.

The Sixth Form Experience

Your time at sixth form is about more than the subjects you do. It’s about having opportunities to grow as a person, gaining life skills and developing your appreciation of culture.

You will have the opportunity for exciting residential trips and meet with inspiring community and business leaders. You will also benefit from a timetable that includes structured enrichment sessions where you will continue to develop as you take on further responsibilities around the partnership, gaining experiences that will put you ahead in the future.

The Post 16 Curriculum

Your achievement is one of our highest priorities at post 16 and we want to make sure your choice of subjects supports that. Our developing curriculum is based on the best provision available and you can be sure to choose from courses that are all proven to be useful in university applications and careers.

Your choice really matters in the big picture - we draw from detailed information about the performance of students nationally when deciding on how many courses you should study to gain the highest chances of success.
