Continued from page 1 easier for registrations, payments, member forms etc… work on it has begun, so it should be up and running in the near future. Thank you Lord! This has been one of the most inquired about issues in the past few years. We are also extremely happy that Susan Derksen, through God’s providence, has been able to rejoin CMA Canada as our Office Administrator. She brings back a wealth of experience and a great work ethic to our office. Susan is helping us search for another person to work in the office as Assistant, so as to have some-one there each day of the week. This will help us to have a quicker response, to your questions and get the things that we need from our Red Deer office. We would also like for you to welcome our newest area reps in the province of New Brunswick. Peter and Wanda Shearer are long time CMA members who have returned to their home province from Fort McMur-ray where they had been, as they described, working, eating and sleeping for the past five years. Welcome back home and welcome to leadership. Make sure you make it to No Borders where you can welcome them in person. Also we have finally established the names of our four regions of Canada, starting from the east we have the Atlantic Region which comprises of Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Next we have the Eastern Region, Quebec and Ontario and the Prairie Region where we start at Western Ontario, from Thunder Bay, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nunavut. And then we have the Western Region which includes Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the North West Territories. These are still big Regions to cover and we believe that with God’s help we can grow CMA Canada to where He wants us to be. Our National Evangelists will be able to reach more chapters, people and areas than they ever have before, more events will be attended and outreach will increase as well. This is part of the Board of Directors vision for Canada and we know God’s Vision as well, to reach the lost and Change the world one heart at a time. It is now time to really start moving towards our Run for the Son. This year the official date will be the first Saturday in June, June 4th, and after last year’s success we look forward to doing even more for Run for the Son. So let’s get planning and see where God leads us in making a difference literally in the whole world. Let’s not forget this year’s No Borders Rally. We really have some exciting things coming up for this year’s rally. We have a guest speaker, (never been to Canada) which brings us an International flavor and expands our Borders, along with speakers from Canada and the United States. Our venue for the Rally is all on one site, where we have dorms, cafeteria style meals at reasonable prices, camping, almost everything you’ll need onsite. Please register as soon as possible. We have an excellent committee working on this project and I’m sure they’ll be encouraged to hear from you. In closing I would like to encourage you with this scripture in Galatians 6:9-10 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in Due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportuni-ty, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” God Bless you.

Prayer Requests

1. Charitable tax receipts are being prepared to be sent out for 2015. Praise God for the donors this past

year. While there have been challenges, we thank God for a brand new start to this year and the poten-tial that lies ahead! a) Through our Christmas catalogue, about $2,500 was raised for a variety of items. The money will

be distributed in the coming months. b) An appeal went out for support for Gilberto and Ruth Noriega – long-time friends and National Mis-

sionary Representatives with MVC. Funds were received totally enough support for five months! Thank you to our many donors!

c) Two teams going to Guatemala in February raised over $30,000 CDN for the construction of the hospital in Nebaj! AMAZING! (so sad about our sinking Loonie though!)

2. Pastor Antonio’s trial in Puerto Maldonado (unjustly charged and imprisoned for the past five years)

which was supposed to occur in the middle of November has been postponed until May 2016. Pray for patience and strength for the family as well as for justice and a fair trial!

3. MVC is hoping to have funds for two wells in Swaziland. Clean water is not the issue in Swaziland – it

is simply the need for water! Pray for the continued efforts to raise these funds and the impact these two churches will have on their community in sharing the TRUE LIVING WATER! As far as the funding goes, we are over half way there! Also continue to pray for the pastor’s brick making operation to help Swazi pastors become self-sustaining.

4. Pray for the ministry in Cuba. There have been some recent developments and changes which will im-

pact the ministry. Having visited our staff in Cuba in December, the needs and the opportunities are enormous! Teams that have gone have made a huge impact! a) In October, a team held a kids’ club for disabled children – eight caregivers came to faith! b) After the ministry of another team in January 2015, the church they ministered at chose to start a

new work – already 25 people are attending in a small home! c) Thank God for the Ministry of CMA in providing funds for bicycles (the normal means of transpor-

tation in Cuba). The pastors and churches we work with are not able to afford the gasoline for mo-torcycles. These bicycles (plans for 50 bicycles in Cuba to be distributed in 2016) provide a means whereby pastors are able to visit members of their churches and to spread the Gospel!

The need is great in Cuba! Hearing stories of pastors who live on $12 to $15 US per month was hum-bling. The greater the sacrifice breeds greater vision and passion. Pray for the continued ministry and the funding that is required for the ministry to be maintained.

5. Pray for a good friend and his wife in Zambia, Bishop Joseph and his wife Grace. Wendy Bourgon

(MVC Missionary Rep) works closely with his church. His wife has been diagnosed with cancer and there is little the doctors can do. Pray for strength, peace, healing. Bishop Joseph is a very gifted man of God with a thriving ministry.

Christian Motorcyclist February 201 6 Page 5

6. Continue to pray for our Missionaries in the field: < Wendy in Zambia < Vinansio and Elizabeth preparing the ministry in South Sudan < Ellie and Lila serving in translation and midwifery in Mexico < Julio and Elsa serving in SW Ontario with the migrant workers < Casiano, a national in Cochabamba, Bolivia serving with the Quechua people < Rodolfo and Saraid , nationals in Iquitos < Carlos and Rosa, Jorge and Sandra, nationals in Cuba < Gilberto and Ruth, nationals in Guatemala

7. Pray for upcoming volunteers travelling to serve overseas. Please pray for their ministry as they prepare

to go and for protection and health as they are working abroad.

Thank you for praying with us!!

Prayer is the foundation of ministry, may you be blessed!

10-LIFE LESSON PLAN for you to consider … On Wednesday, my son Jordan and I stopped at Red Robins Clareview; when in the lobby a fellow asked "Are you still meeting at the Yellowhead?" LESSON 1: WEAR YOUR COLOURS WHEREVER YOU GO. I answered yes, where do I know you from? He replied "I'm Jonas, the guy who lets you use the meeting room for free." I told him how much we appreciate his efforts and thanked him again. He said he was happy to provide the service. LESSON 2: ALWAYS SHOW APPRECIATION AND SAY THANK YOU. We sat a few tables apart. During the meal the Spirit moved me to have the waiter hand me Jonas and lady friend's bill. LESSON 3: LISTEN TO THE SPIRIT AND OBEY. We were rushing some to beat them, so as to avoid a discussion or him refusing the offer. LESSON 4: EAT FASTER - LOL As they got up to leave and asked for their bill the waiter pointed us out. LESSON 5: HIDE BETTER Jonas said that wasn't necessary. I replied he wasn't allowed to steal my blessing on them. He gestured in a show of thanks with his hands in a prayer pose, bowing slightly and saying thank you. I added, besides it was for his good looking lady friend. They laughed. LESSON 6: ALWAYS GIVE COMPLIMENTS AND SHARE HUMOUR Then I added, it would be his turn next to buy. I paused and said that it might have to be at the Keg though. Ha ha!! LESSON 7: SEEK OUT FURTHER CONNECTING OPPORTUNITIES (AND MAYBE A MEAL - LOL) As we left, we met again in the lobby and Jonas repeated that buying the meal wasn't necessary. I told him not to feel too special as I do this often being Spirit led but usually get out the door sooner. I added that I leave the waiter my CMA card to be given to the "guest" only after they hear my bike leaving the parking lot. He said he'd have to pay it forward to another person (s). LESSON 8: START A WAVE OF GIVING So I handed him my CMA card using my standard line "This card is good for a free coffee at Tim Horton's." Jonas replied great and looked at the flip side which says "Hurting? God cares, so do we." LESSON 9: CARRY AND USE CMA CARDS FOR FUTURE CONNECTIONS. I then added the qualifier that I'd have to be there to buy. They laughed and Jonas said he'd call. LESSON 10: MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE AND WAIT PATIENTLY FOR THE CALL, EITHER JUST TO FELLOWSHIP OR TO PROVIDE SUPPORT WHEN SOMEONE IS HURTING. Reaching the World, One Heart at a Time. Run for the Son Mission Trip by James Rosso, National Evangelist, Prairie Region

How does one express the overwhelming sense of awe and wonder that comes from spending eight days in Nicaragua with Missionary Ventures’ workers and the pastors who partner with them? To realize that our giving to Run for the Son is making a huge difference in the lives of these servants of God. Words are not enough to describe their passion and humility let alone their sacrifice. On November 7, 2015, Bill Amundsen, President of the Battle-fords Light Brigade, in Saskatchewan, and me, along with 10 USA CMA members, boarded a plane for Managua to deliver six Run for the Son motorcycles to pastors in Nicaragua. Arriving to +35 temperatures (and the hustle and bustle of the city) we were whisked away by bus to our Missionary Ventures missionary’s home to begin a 900 km drive/ride through the city, rural and mountains of this desperately poor nation. Along the way we were introduced to the ministries of six local pastors, who are sold out for Jesus, and do-ing amazing things for the Kingdom of God. Pastors, like Alvaro, who entered full-time ministry at 16 and now at 21 is planting a church in the poorest area of Managua where he coordinates sports programs, reach-ing hundreds of youth, including many gang members. Receiving a new “Yumbo” means that instead of taking public transportation, or walking hours to church, he is now mobile and can reach deeper and faster into his community. Then there is Pastor Santo – who at 44, is working in four different communities and travels by foot and bus to minister. Imagine spending hours on old buses, waiting on the side of the road for connections that may or may not come. Now on two wheels, he is able to effectively reach into even more communities.

Pastor Jesus ministers in northern Nicaragua, which takes him into some of the most brutal driving condi-tions in the country … without a motorcycle, his time is limited and less effective, but now he is able to reach the unreachable. Pastors Macelo, Santos Israel and Cristobel, all work in different areas of the country and, again like the others, rely on buses, friends or their own two legs to travel. For example, Pastor Cristobel traveled 12 hours by bus to pick up his “Yumbo” and took less than 2 hours to ride home. What a difference this will make in their ministry. It was a humbling experience to see the de-

Christian Motorcyclist February 201 6 Page 8

termination and passion that each of these men expressed … and, if you could have seen the look on their faces when they climbed onto their 250 cc bikes, you would know that all your efforts to raise funds for Run for the Son is definitely worth it. It truly was an honour to spend time with the CMA team and sense their heart and vision!! Now that we have returned to the chill of winter, I can truly say that being part of this ministry of reaching the world “one heart at a time” is beyond words for me. Only eternity will tell what great harvest is reaped through the efforts of all of our CMA members. Since being asked to take on the position of National Evangelist for Region “B” last spring, it has been my pleasure to spend time with all the chapters in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. It is exciting to be part of a team, Workers “together with Christ.” This region, being so large and diverse, there is no person that can do it alone. As I look at the chapters I sense a unity and purpose and know in my heart that we are on the verge of a great move of God in our midst. Each chapter is unique with positive leadership. As we prepare for Bikers for Change (Seasons of Refreshing), I look forward to seeing you all again. May God bless you. James Rosso

An Amazing Introduction by Malcolm and Gail Reed

Hello everyone!!

My name is Malcolm and my wife’s name is Gail, and by God’s grace alone we have found a door opened unto us to serve as National Evangelist in the Atlantic Region (the Maritime Provinces, as we call it over here). I have been a Born Again Christian now for 33 years and I can still remember the very first request made of me to serve in a place of worship. I was invited to dinner by the Minister of Chris-tian Education and half way through the meal I came right out and asked, “What do you want?” Somewhat caught off guard, the answer was given almost directly back at me; “We want you to be the new Sunday School Superintendent!”

As the conversation continued to unfold, I let it be known that I had never even been a Sunday School Teacher and that I felt this should be an important first step in experience for a position like this. Although this was agreed to, never-the-

less, they felt led to give me the position. I ac-cepted and it was a great experience for 10 years. In Eph 6:24, the final verse of this wonderful epis-tle is a closing exhortation to all. “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sinceri-ty. Amen.” Where would we be without the wonderful, matchless, Grace of God? This past Saturday, Gail and I felt compelled to go to a friend of ours and drive her to see her hus-band. He no longer remembers who Gail and I are and sometimes does not even know who his wife is. This is a difficult situation to find one in, let alone those around them who feel helpless to deal with it in any way. What is amazing about this person is the fact that he still remembers Je-sus. I found that very comforting. Well, we were sitting there and he suddenly smiled and looked straight at me and said, “I know where I am go-ing” and pointed up. Somewhere in the dark re-cess of a mind lost in its self. Someone (God) al-lowed a single pure thought to once again come firing through all the grey matter to confirm to those sitting there what Jesus said; that he would never leave us or forsake us (Heb 13:5) and then he was gone again to wherever or whatever hap-pens during those dormant times. I thought of the simply sincerity and truth of what had just hap-pened and I quietly thanked God.

Christian Motorcyclist February 201 6 Page 1 2

So where am I going with this? Well, folks, who is in control here is the question that seriously needs to be asked? If it is Gail and I as the National Evangelist for the Atlantic Region, well then perhaps you had bet-ter start praying a whole lot for us all. But if you can see the hand of God at work continuing to build his church as he said that he would in Matthew 16:18, and that we are just servants willing to be used of him, then we can all move forward together in CMA. We do not have it all together, but God makes it all come together.

As of a short time ago, we now have Area reps in all prov-inces … praise God!! There is a real desire by all the mem-bers that I know here to share the gospel of Jesus Christ … praise God!! There are plans underway for us to be even more visible out there in the biker world with our new RFTS, Bikers for Change, and other areas … praise God!! There are numerous opportunities for God to use you personally if you are willing to say “Yes, Lord; Yes! … Praise God!! Yes, Gail and I have a lot to learn, but growing together in God’s will, wonderful things will continue to happen … praise God!!

We look forward to coming alongside of each and every person in the maritime region. We have no illu-sions that this will be a wonderful bed of roses. There will be times that we will be challenged and even tested, and if that is the case, then we must be on the right path. And if I can say this in closing, if you are willing to be used of God, then do not be surprised if you hear a roaring lion lurking nearby doing some grunting and moaning, but that’s his problem. And finally, my dear friend that I spoke about who does not remember Gail and me very much anymore in-troduced us to CMA 14 years ago. Look what God is doing through someone who sincerely loved his Son, PRAISE GOD Malcolm & Gail Read National Evangelist Atlantic Region

Where encouragement is found! Submitted June 2015

I know a man who has served the Lord for many years. He and his wife took the call of God on their lives seri-ously, and served as a pastoral couple for many years. This call to minister didn’t conclude at their retirement, (if that were possible for any who follow Jesus), but has taken them on a new journey serving as local missionar-ies of the Gospel through CMA. I know prayer is an important part of their lives by their ministry as chaplain with “Samaritans Purse.” They touch many lives as they move through disasters, providing relief through prayer and counselling. They offer support for those going through hardship. Recently, while visiting a friend in hospital, Don had severe chest pains. He was taken to emergency where they performed a number of tests and decided to keep him to investigate the cause. They kept him in ICU (then ICU step down unit) for monitoring, while waiting for an angiogram. The call for prayer was given. Our chapter has a strong prayer link via our email network administrated by our prayer coordinator (my wife Judi). It was now time for us to move in the spirit through our united voice of pray-er. Matthew 18:20 (NIV) 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."

Judy, Don’s wife, made this request. “Please pray for healing and God’s perfect timing for this appointment.” Here was our opportunity to respond as a family. God’s children in action! Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV) 3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Shortly after, Judy gave this follow up. “He is in no pain at present and we are thankful that if there is a problem with his heart, it has come to light now in a place and time for it to be dealt with.” They recognised God was providing the foreknowledge for Don’s good. “I came to visit and chest pain kept me here. Now we are ICU step down neighbours.” Don’s visit with a friend, provided him protection. That is our God at work. Caring for others proved to be the best way for God to care for Don. This is the door into God’s Will, and once entered, we experience the “un-searchable things.” CMA is a network of caregivers. A group of men and women able to call upon the Lord at any given moment, and He answers. Let your voice be heard in united prayer for every appointment God places in your day; I as-sure you, you will be encouraged. God, in turn, blessed us with His reward. Another follow up from Judy following Don's hospital stay, read, “Thank you so much for the prayers. I really felt the peace, both as we waited for the heart procedure, and during the surgery. I brought Don home this morning and he was a happy camper.” Amen In TheWord Mike Splint (Chaplain) Trinity Riders, Ontario
