Interesting Facts
Clydesdale’s are a breed of the heavy Draught Horse.
The were breed in Scotland in the 1800’s.
They weigh between 230kg – 1,135kg (over 1 tonne – as heavy as my Mum’s car/Territory)!!!
They eat 11kg – 25kg of hay per day Even though they are big and strong
they are very gentle and smart.
Height
The Clydesdales average height is 16 to 20 hands high and
They live into their 20’s
Work horses
Clydesdales were mostly work horses. They were used to pull horse carriages & wagons, work in the coal fields and on farms as well as lots of other things.
How much money is a Clydesdale ?
Clydesdales are about over one thousand dollars .
