CLUB MEMBERS

It was another great meeting last night Many topics covered Input from a lot of

members Please continue to participate in meetings by sharing your thoughts and

opinions We want to make plans and decisions that are representative of

everyonersquos opinion Remember itrsquos the membersrsquo club and we all have the power

to make it what the majority wants

It turned out there was little member interest in having a club car show this year which may explain

why there were so few volunteers After much discussion and an attempt to understand the pros and

cons of a car show a vote was requested and taken with the vast majority voting to suspend the show

for this year Some will mourn this decision and thatrsquos unfortunate but we will work toward other ways

to bring exposure to our club

The silver lining is the Auto Gallery is having a car show June 17 George Yursis (club member) invited

Corvettes of the Bay to participate as a club The Auto Gallery has openings for 200 cars 1992 and

earlier which allows us to not only exhibit our Corvettes but also enjoy the other automobiles displayed

and the Green Bay farmerrsquos market which will take place during the same time frame George is

coordinating the Corvette portion of the show to take place in downtown Green Bay I will be working

with George and others on ways to help promote the club at the event including a booth with

information for potential members Plans are to park C-1 through C-7 Corvettes in a display with a

nearby designated area to park the rest of our Corvettes together To make the designated parking for

the Corvettes a reality we need to register our cars early so plans can be put in place Please watch for

an email with instructions on how to register your car I urge everyone to participate if possible This

will be great exposure for our club to attract new members

Finally Irsquom happy to announce spring is here The weather continues to improve and events will start

up I encourage all members to think about a destination for a run or maybe you know of some hilly

curvy and scenic roads perfect for a drive but arenrsquot sure of the final destination Either way share your

ideas at a meeting or contact me or a member of the planning committee We

can put our ideas together and create some fun runs With busy summer

schedules it works best to schedule a lot of runs so members have choices that

fit their individual schedules

April 2017 Minutes

President Tony Steffen called the meeting to order at 803PM at Wallyrsquos Spot with 75 members present The previous monthrsquos minutes were

on the tables for review motion to approve by Keith Bauer and seconded by Patty Edinger motion approved

Treasurer Report Patty Edinger reported the status of the clubrsquos assets motion to approve by Harry Liebergen and second by Deborah

Boettcher motion approved Membership is 169 paid members

New Members Wayne and Jackie Turk 2002 Z06 Electron Blue Dave and Mary Borman 2011 Grand Sport Blue Metallic

New Cars Gary Pieschek 2014 Torch Red Coupe Dave and Deborah Boettcher 2016 Z06 Laguna Blue

Chili Cook-off Patty Edinger reported 14 people attended the event on April 1st Leroy Edinger won 1st place

March Dinner run Russ Tapley reported 33 people met at the Woods for dinner afterwards a visit to Greg Rohdersquos car restoration shop

Auto Gallery Car Show George Yursis gave details for the 1st Auto Gallery car show to be held Saturday June 17 8AM-2PM downtown Green

Bay There will be an area for Corvettes to be on display See the website for full details and entry fee information

Corvettes of the Bay car show A lengthy and informational discussion was held in regards to continue holding the annual COB car show or

participate in the Auto Gallery car show With no chairperson to organize COB car show a vote was taken to not hold COB car show this year

COB will participate in the Auto Gallery car show

April Dinner Run Gary and Liz Kelling are planning the April dinner run Thursday April 13 at 6PM Meet at Krabbersquos Kountry Klub W2890 County Rd EE Seymour WI RSVP to Liz Kelling lizkcharternet if you plan on attending 5050 Raffle Rick Northrop contacted the person in charge of the Oconto Beat the Heat program to see if they would be interested in holding

a 5050 raffle at each of our meetings The ldquoBeat the Heatrdquo program is a non-profit program that involves kids and police officers racing cars at

a race facility All money used for the kids to work on the cars is through donations This auto program benefits our youth and builds positive

relationships with law enforcement A vote was held to offer the Oconto Beat the Heat program the opportunity to conduct the raffle under

their license at our monthly meeting A member of the club who won the 5050 would receive half the money and choose the dinner run that

month BTH would receive the other half of the raffle A representative of BTH would hold the raffle Rick will contact the persons in charge

of the program to move forward with the raffle For more detailed information regarding this program see Rick or any Board member

Summer Party We are still in need of a Chairperson and volunteers to organize the clubs Summer Party There are many offers to assist in

planning we are looking for someone to be the Chairperson please consider being an active member in our club

Rallys at various businesses COB have been approached by 3 businesses to hold a Rally at their businesses more details to come

Multimedia updates Dan Terrien shared information regarding COB Facebook Page Sally Steffen also mentioned to check out our website to

find vendors that offer members discounts and Corvette apparel

Miscellaneous John Bartell who was at one time a member of the club helped with tax filing and annual reports Since he is no longer

available it is necessary that the club hire a registered agent to represent COB if needed There will be a group searching for Johnrsquos

replacement

I found a new company that is still kind of quiet if anyone is interested I like getting a lot of my parts

powder coated vs painted and although I havent had any work done by them I heard they have really

good prices and do good work by a gentleman who has had work done by them

I also spoke to the bar owner Jamie at Four Way Bar who is the owner of this company and

mentioned soda blasting and he is going to look into it If anyone has an interest in this give them a

shout so he knows there is a demand for it
