At the start of the movie trailer the institutions have been altered, to hep create the documentary feel, this helps to connote a more real feel to the movie and to set the tone for the whole trailer.

The first scene begins with as a equilibrium which gives the audience a sense of enigma to what the movie will be about . The filming is very amateur and is filmed as if a character is filming it. This helps to add to the realistic tone of the trailer. To also give the trailer a more realistic feel the scene is full of close ups of different characters which also enforces the amateur filming

At this point of the trailer the filming is still very disorientated, this also begins to become a clue for the audience that there is a sense of disruption coming. Due to the loud music in this scene it gives the sense of vulnerability and n uneasy tone.In this part of the trailer the characters are saying goodbye to a friend, little do they know this is foreshadowing a completely different to say goodbye. This helps to create a sense of sadness as the audience get to see the friendship among the group .Then ironically the other characters ask the man who's leaving how they will survive without him, this again is foreshadowing events to come.

The first disruption of the trailer immediately raises enigma among the audience, ‘earthquake?’. The editing of this part has been adapted as its yet again being filmed by an amateur. The camera then blackens which helps to enforce that sense of vulnerability as another sense has been taken away. Close ups show the confusion on the characters faces to show confusion and fear.Sirens and car alarms begin to go off in the background, showing things are going wrong. The realisation of the event is shown o the news to again create the realistic feel but to till help the audience to understand the plot. Also tells you here the film takes place.

This I the part of the trailer where the audience et the evidence and the realization of how big this problem is, A zoom is used in order to reinforce the realistic, documentary feel.

Continuous cuts to help make the trailer feel as real as possible.

The thrown statue of liberty's head can represent justice and liberty is gone, the people no longer have freedom. This also helps to link in with the movie poster as that featured the headless statue of liberty and solves the enigma of the poster.
