CINEMA NOTESSummer is here and for July Triskel Christchurch hosts not only the finest in contemporary cinema but also an exceptional selection of classic movies. French cinema is well represented in this programme with Clouds of Sils Maria starring Juliette Binoche, 70s true crime thriller The Connection, and the wonderful coming-of-age drama Girlhood. We are also screening The Falling the critically acclaimed new film from Carol Morley (Dreams Of A Life), there are the American indie comedies Listen Up Philip and Results, and Queen & Country, the new film from John Boorman (Deliverance, Hope & Glory).
There are also exciting film seasons - Punk On Film celebrates the legacy of the seminal punk movement that epitomises late 70’s Britain. We are delighted to finally present a season from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. There is also a chance to see the final masterpiece from legendary filmmaker Sergio Leone, Once Upon A Time In America.
