History:
o Invented by Joseph Carl in the 1960s.
o In 1983, CompuServe offered its consumer users 128kb of disk space that could be used to store any files they chose to upload.

Modes of Clouds
1-Public Cloud
2-Private Cloud
3-Hybrid Cloud
Types of Cloud Computing

• Owned and managed by service provider
• Made available to the general public or a large industry group
Public Cloud
![Page 9: Cloud computing introduction](https://reader031.fdocuments.in/reader031/viewer/2022031918/55a5e8761a28abbd128b46f6/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Private Cloud
• Operated solely for an organization
• May be managed by the organization or a third party
• Limits access to enterprise and partner network
• Retains high degree of control, privacy and security
Private Cloud
![Page 10: Cloud computing introduction](https://reader031.fdocuments.in/reader031/viewer/2022031918/55a5e8761a28abbd128b46f6/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
• Composition of two or more clouds (private or public) bound together by standardized technology that enables data and application portability.
Hybrid Cloud
![Page 11: Cloud computing introduction](https://reader031.fdocuments.in/reader031/viewer/2022031918/55a5e8761a28abbd128b46f6/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
