You will learn a wide range of skills, including: threat assessments; surveillance; team work; vehicle techniques; IED awareness; communications and asset protection.

Upon successful completion of the course you will receive the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate Working as Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry. The module is accredited and will enable candidates to apply for the SIA close protection front line license.

Our course exceeds industry requirements, and will introduce additional elements to prepare you for CP deployments, which will include: talks with experienced operatives from our own CP teams.If you are new to the Security industry or have been around for a period of time and want to upskill, this is the course for you.The course is progressive and is a ‘training course’ like all other courses run by the AARTIC Group. We aim to produce the best operators that the Security Industry wants to employ. If we think you won't fit into to the role of a Close Protection officer we will advise you of this, the rest is up to you.If you “standout” on the course and we are approached from one of the course observers, there is a Guaranteed Interview with a Security company Director who is looking for Staff for projects across the UK and Internationally.

COURSE DURATION: 19 days. To make the course as realistic as possible the hours you work will be long and varied. There is some theory pre-work required, this is so that the maximum amount of time can be used on the practical skills and drills required.

This intensive and demanding course allows you to access the skills and expertise we have acquired from decades of operational experience in British Special Forces, Close Protection team’s specialist police units and the intelligence services.

Red Tie Standard

Every operator who achieves the grade on the course will be awarded the Red Tie. This will mark the attainment of the high standards expected by the trainers. To maintain the standard a free CPD event is organised annually and on completions the standard is renewed.
