1. Check wheat pack for signs of wear and tear
2. Only use wheat packs as per instructions. Pay close attention particularly when heating as overheating can cause severe injuries
Wheat-filled heat bags should only be used for aches and pains. Do not use them to warm beds or let children sleep with them as they can ignite on bedding

1. Hot water bottles should be enclosed in a towel or fabric protective covering to prevent burns and scalds
2. If you are using it to warm your child’s bed, remove it from the bed before your child goes to sleep
Do not use hot water bottles that are cracked or worn
Do not use boiling water to fill hot water bottles
