Clinical Practice Management and Leadership for Advanced Practice Providers NURS: 6557 This course provides an overview of key aspects for health care provider leadership in clinical practice management and the health care enterprise. Advanced Practice Providers are expected to deliver health care services, lead to deliver value, achieve maximum reimbursement, and meet the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s quadruple aims. This course will focus on value management, revenue cycle management, professional leadership, provider leadership, and clinical practice management. Students will read, discuss, explore, critique, and practice skills related to course topics. COURSE OBJECTIVES Through discussion and completion of assigned activities, the student will be able to: 1. Compare and contrast professional leadership, provider leadership, and clinical practice management. 2. Examine the Advanced Practice Provider’s role in leading the health care enterprise and provider teams. 3. Critique practice trends for policy development. 4. Analyze core elements of clinical practice management for Advanced Practice Provider roles in complex health care delivery systems. 5. Apply clinical leadership principles to advanced practice.
