Line-Master COAXIALE STUDIOMONITORE
Active Coaxial Monitor for all Applications
– Made in Germany
The development of the new coaxial monitor from KSdigital has been optimized, especially
for a correct phase and impulse reproduction. As a point sound source without axial offset
in either horizontal or vertical planes, the coax system reaches a phenomenal depth and
presence. The utilization of a carbon-fiber membrane in the low-mid chassis and the new
construction of a neodymium tweeter in the center of the chassis, produce an active monitor
with extraordinarily exact reproduction characteristics. The very compact construction permits
an operation in the primary or midfield with the control of the entire frequency spectrum.
With the development and manufacture of the coaxial chassis in Germany, we are able to
provide quality within very narrow tolerances at an extremely high level.
The acoustic advantages of the coax system C-Line:
• No time shift between the acoustic centers of the individual chassis
• No run-time differences between the chassis at individual crossover points
• The membrane of the low-mid chassis forms
a wave guide for the tweeter
• The directional sound shields against un-
wanted reflections in the listening area

With the C55 Coax, the lower frequency range has
been extended again, meaning that a subwoofer has been
rendered superfluous even at louder levels. The system is
a genuine 3-way construction with separate amplifiers for
each bandwidth. With the deployment of the C5 Coax
chassis, the aforementioned advantages of the coax chassis
are preserved with more power and deeper sound. The
workload of the coax chassis is sharply reduced by an
additional active bass.

The smallest studio monitor in our
program so far, the Coax C5-Tiny has
been optimized for use in a genuine
primary field. As a point sound source
without axial offset in either horizontal
or vertical planes, the system reaches an
optimal impulse and therefore frequency
and phase characteristics in the listening
area. Utilizing high quality materials, the
speaker reaches an extraordinarily exact
music and vocal reproduction for its size.
Whether as a high-end primary field
monitor for the audio or video editing
studio or as a bridge monitor in a mixer
console – the C5-Tiny is the tool of choice.
Quickly installed, easily transportable and
extremely exact even in difficult acoustic
situations, it is a reliable and neutral
primary field monitor with adequate per-
formance reserves.

As with the C5-Tiny, the C8 Coax
exploits the advantages of its coaxial
construction. Also produced in coopera-
tion with a German chassis manufacturer,
a new coaxial chassis with outstanding
specifications has been developed. As
with all C-Line monitors, the carbon-fiber
membrane offers an optimal combination
of stiffness and minimum weight. This
material permits powerful, dry bass on
the one hand as well as a mid-range free
of distortion and partial oscillations on
the other.
Whether as a high-end primary field
speaker for the audio or video mastering
studio or as a bridge monitor in a mixer
console, or on the road in an outside
broadcast or recording van, the C8-Coax
is the uncomplicated tool for every pro-
duction.
The C88 was developed for deployment as a main
monitor. The combination of an 8” coax and 8” bass chassis
results in a main monitor with full control right down to
the lowest frequencies. With its reproduction as a point
sound source, the C88-Coax is even convincing in smaller
control rooms with lesser listening distances, providing an
extraordinarily powerful and effortless sound to the lowest
lows. At the same time, a total of 440W ensures an
impressive conversion of electrical signals into sound
performance.

Technical specifications:
For over 10 years now, KSdigital has been developing
and producing high-end reference monitors. Our
development has been based on innovation in the
electro-acoustic realm, the irradiation of sound and
not least in the area of digital signal processing.
The combination of modern digital signal processing
with 30 years experience in the construction of
loudspeakers, controller pults as well as the planning
and construction of solutions for the most complex
acoustic situations in many radio, theatrical and
festival locations (e.g. the “Reichstag”, home of
German parliament), led to the development of a
new loudspeaker generation in 1997. Several inno-
vations that were developed for our studio monitors
in the areas of electro-acoustic, sound irradiation
and digital signal processing have been patented
in the meantime.
In 1996 the ADM 2 (the predecessor of the current
ADM20), was presented to the industry as the first
monitor in the world to be equalized utilizing FIR
technology. In 2004 cylindrical wave sound radiation
was introduced into studio reference monitors for
the first time with the ADM-Zero and the later
developed Line-Master.
The ADM30 also sets the standard as a compact
and complete reference monitor with an actively
controlled bass chassis utilizing DMC technology;
a complex but very precise regulation of the
membrane’s movement in the low-mid range.
