Climbing Volcano Villarrica (2847m), Volcano Lanin (3747m) and full Solar Eclipse Classic volcanos climb in South America with a full solar eclipse This program includes the climb of 2 of the most beautiful volcanoes in the Lake District and the River District in the south of Chile. We also get to discover the natural beauty of this area, from its forests, lakes and mountains. We will climb 2 classic volcano shape mountains. The lower altitudes of these mountains mean we don’t need add extra days for acclimatizing. It’s on the summit of Volcan Lanin where you will have the opportunity to observe a unique spectacle of a full Solar eclipse. Program

Day 1, 11th of December: Temuco Airport (360m) - Lago Villarrica, near Pucon town (227m)

Make a connection flight from Santiago airport to Temuco. Meet at Temuco airport and transfer to Pucon, meeting with guide and question time. Free afternoon. 2 hour drive, Hotel Villarica park 4*

Day 2, 12th of December: Lago Villarrica - Volcano Villarrica (2847m) - Curarrehue village (780m)

Early start. We have a 30 minute transfer to the base of the Villarrica volcano, from where start our climb. The first part follows a small trail and higher up we have snow fields to the summit. On the summit we can see the lava and smoke coming out of the crater. Same way back down. Once back down we make a transfer to Curarrehue village. Here we get ready for the two day climb on Volcano Lanin. Vertical accent 1450m / 4760 1 hour drive, 6 - 7 hour climb (BLD) Cabins on farm, 5 people to 1 cabin

Day 3, 13th of December: Curarrehue village - Camp 1 (3000m)

Today we have a 1 hour drive to the start of the trail head. At the trail head we trek up to the camp 1. Trail goes through forest and if front of us the volcano Lanin. Camp will already be set up once we arrive. 1 hour drive, 4 -5 hour trek (BLD) Camping

Day 4, 14th of December: Camp 1 - Summit of Volcano Lanin (3710m) - Camp 1 (Solar Eclipse day)

Another early start for the summit. Today is not as long as the other climbs. We start on the lower slops through volcanic ash and higher up we meet to the snow line where we need to use crampons. On a clear day we have amazing views of all the lakes and the other volcanos in the area. Same way back down. Vertical ascent 700m / 2300 ft Once back at camp we can see the full Solar Eclipse. Day 5, 15th of December: Camp 1 - Curarrehue village

An easy day today. After breakfast we trek back down to the road. Transfer to Curarrehue village. 3 - 4 hour trek, 1 hour drive (BLD) Cabins up to 5 people in one cabin

Day 6, 16th of December: Curarrehue village- Temuco - Santiago Airport

Drive back to Temuco and take flight back to Santiago airport Transfer to airport, 2 - 3 hour drive, 1 hour flight (B) END of SERVICES
