Primary E-Folio Example 1
Exploring energy We all use energy every day. Schools use a large quantity of energy for purposes such as lighting, heating and cooling. Some of the ways energy is obtained for everyday activities are changing our environment.
What do we know about energy? After learning about the types of energy we classifiedevery day things such as torches and elasticsinto the correct energy group.

Sustainability and Electricity
Electricity and the environment may be sustained and managed correctly in many simple ways.
Simple actions taken by individuals, communities or governments can dramatically reduce the effects of energy and land use on our
environments. By switching off lights, using heat only when needed, using
alternative methods of energy and managing our land, waterways and atmosphere the environment could easily be preserved for the
future.
ProposalsWSR Expectations
• We recommend you write your proposal using the information already created from E-Folio to reduce workload
• Get quotes before handing in proposals and attach to proposals• Approval and endorsement from Principal is essential and also
make appropriate checks with Asset Management • Clear costings in table essential
• Consider how funding could be sought elsewhere if we are unable to fund completely such as fundraising
• Proposal funding is competitive and not guaranteed if the proposal does not meet the electricity saving criteria
• Funding per participant is up to $2000 but please be aware that it is unlikely due to the competiveness
• One proposal per participant or one proposal per school or one proposal per combined teacher/participants, as long as all teachers
