Identify some factors that contribute to climate change.

Page 23: Climate Change

Climate Change Dama

Page 24: Climate Change

• A game played by two opponents.• This is similar to the Filipino checker board game called

DAMA with some modifications in integrating climate change

• related concepts.• Set the starting positions of the chips. (Refer to the

DAMA board posted on the board)

Page 25: Climate Change

•Determine the players by drawing lots. Player 1 is the

one who won the lottery and will make the first move.

•A chip is allowed to move diagonally forward only to

an adjoining vacant square.

•A chip has to take the opponent’s chip diagonally

forward. Thus, pass is not allowed.

Page 26: Climate Change

*The player must let his opponent to take his Damachips which contribute to climate change. Also, he/she should not allowhis/her opponents to take those icons that lessen the effects of climate change.

Page 27: Climate Change

*A score of two points will be added to the player if he/she takes a chip that contributes to climate change. While a score of negative two for the player who will take a chip that lessens the effect of climate change.

Page 28: Climate Change

*A chip is declared DAMA upon reaching terminally on the given designated squares. *The player with the SMALLER total score will be considered as winner.

Page 29: Climate Change

*The game ends when any of the following situations occur:1. A player has no chip to move.2. Repetitive moves of any or both players.3. A player resigns.

1. Write your pledge of commitment regarding our

topic climate change. No specific format that will be

given. You may write your work on a one whole

short bond paper. Be creative as possible. The best

work will be displayed on our classroom bulletin

board. (10 points) Scoring rubric:

Creativity: 2 points Layout and design: 2 points

Relevance: 5 points Neatness of work: 1 point

2. Aside from climate change that we

are experiencing, we still have two

cyclical events that we encounter – El

Niño and La Niña. Research on the

origin and effects of each phenomenon.
