With this deposit, we’ve added $255,000,000 to

our team this year.

We now have 3 FAs, 2 SAs, 2 RMs, 2 SVs, and 1 CO.

With all of these moving parts, the weekly statistic sheet

has been a wonderful tool of accountability that we’ve

started using effectively to monitor and motivate.

We’re on track for our revenue goal of $1,375,000 for

each FA, and have set our target for $1,718,500 for

next year (25% growth). Not a real sexy story … just

grit of making that extra phone call to ask for money!

I would definitely say the System is a big part of

our success.

Bill,

I came on the System in January of 2010. I was doing 350k in production.

I recently bought another book of business (despite my firm suggesting that I

shouldn't because I wouldn't be able to maintain everything.)

I didn’t retain all of the clients from that book, but I retained most of them.

One of the clients I retained was this gentleman who has since passed and

had about $2M invested with the former advisor. Because I used the System, I

was able to bring on this gentleman’s son who now has $6M invested with me.

By the time I was on the System for three years, I had more than

doubled my production, and was doing a little over $800k.

A few years ago, I dropped to barely above $300,000. Last year, we

purchased the System, but didn’t use it. As a result, my production didn’t

increase much.

This year, though, we have really made a concerted effort to use the System.

Now, my team is in better shape than it’s ever been before, my data and

marketing are in better shape, and we have been constantly hitting (and

sometimes exceeding) my weekly appointment goal. As a result, we are

going to finish the year at $500,000 which I am very happy about.

My goal for next year is to get to $600,000. If that happens, that will almost

be a 2-year double (since we didn’t really use the System the first year.)

I just got out of the hospital. While I was there, my staff ran

the Bill Good Marketing Find the Money campaign. Even

during all this, I still found an additional $2.5 million in

assets from my hospital bed! There are lots of advisors

who like to claim that there’s no more money out there,

that they already have everything and there’s nothing to

find. My response? If I can find over 2 million when I couldn’t

walk and couldn’t talk, other advisors shouldn’t have any

excuse! I don’t believe I would have gotten this account if

it weren’t for the BGM Find the Money campaign!

I finally started using the BGM “90 Day No Contact”

script. Over the past few weeks, I’ve set several

appointments, have found upwards of $5 million in

outside assets, and am in the process of bringing

in around $3 million of that under management.

About three months into using the System, I have run

the Find the Money client campaign for the third time.

On the first two attempts, I picked up around a dozen

referrals. A couple of these have already become clients.

In addition, I have received a number of referrals from

clients that I believe to be an indirect result of Find the

Money, probably just the additional communication

from me has caused them to be more aware.

PROSPECTING

With dozens of prospecting campaigns and strategies, the Bill Good

Marketing System can help you generate, develop, and close more prospects

than ever before. Here are a few recent prospecting-related successes

other advisors have achieved through the use of our System.

I signed up for the Bill Good Marketing System at the end of September

2016. What really sold me was that Bill had developed the ability to

manage multiple seminars. I have built my entire business on seminars.

But I had a big problem. My response rate had fallen to .12%. That’s right.

I sent out 10,000 invitations. 12 people responded. Bill said, “Send me

your invitation.” I did.

He analyzed every part of it. His conclusion: You need a professional seminar

invitation company. Quit doing this yourself.” We followed his advice.

The first seminar we did using our new seminar invitation, list and location

pulled 84 people for the two events promoted by that mailing.

It was a Thursday night. A couple signed up at the seminar to meet

with us the following day. The meeting went well and two days later on

Monday they contacted us wanting to come in that same day. Monday

afternoon they became clients with assets of over $1,250,000.

We have 15 more prospects that requested meetings. Thank you

for the connection. The revenue from this account pays all our first year

fees for the BGM System. These other 15 prospects will make that seminar

extremely profitable.

In 2016, we brought in about $12 million from seminars.

I followed some of Bill’s suggestions and have made

the following changes to my process:

• Utilized the Bill Good Marketing brochure template

• Used the Bill Good Marketing “Profile Process”

• Changed how I communicate with prospects

• Used the Bill Good Marketing “Proposal Template” to

present recommendations

This year, with approximately the same number

of seminars, we are on track for $25 million –

double what we made all of last year. What’s

the difference? Bill taught me the Good Way to sell.

Bill,

As you know, one of the prospecting strategies we got from you is

to hold birthday lunches for clients. We had tried doing birthday

lunches several years ago. They went well and clients enjoyed them

so, of course, we promptly stopped doing them. But this year we

decided to start doing it again to great success.

The first one we did was for John [another advisor with our team]

with a client who had given us some assets after the passing of his

mother ($350k). This client had other assets at another brokerage

that we knew about plus his 401(k) that we also knew about, but

we weren’t sure the exact amounts and he was clear he had a long

relationship with this other advisor and things were not changing

anytime soon.

When we scheduled the lunch, we were specific about this just being a

chance for John to take him out to lunch to wish him a happy birthday.

Before the day of the lunch, the client asked if John wouldn’t mind

looking at some stock he had bought a long while back to see if we

should do anything with it and bring those ideas to the lunch. John

went prepared to briefly go over that and spend the bulk of the time

just getting to know the client better. Instead, they spent a little time

on the stocks, then the client said his other advisor might be retiring

down the road and when he does he would bring the assets to us.

He then said, “You know what, let’s move it sooner so that everything

is together.” He gave his latest statement to John to evaluate and

prepare to move over. He then also let us know that he is going to

retire next year and he wants it all together before then and he

really likes what we do.

John offered to do a full financial plan to make sure he is fully

prepared for retirement, something the client had resisted up to this

point because he is very controlling. But this time, the client agreed.

The client also committed to bring his 401(k) here. In all, this will be

$1 million from the other brokerage (who, by the way, had not

mentioned anything yet about DOL and this is all qualified money).

There will be another $1 million in 401(k) money to roll early

next year when the client retires. Not bad for a $30 lunch!

Since this client has previously not been willing to give John much,

we feel this unprompted leap forward in the relationship came due

to this lunch invitation.

This time, these lunches will not be something we stop anytime soon.

I worked with a prospective client back in August. He held a $730k

401(k) which means that asset wasn’t touchable right now. But I

provided him with 401(k) help and we talked about estate planning

and importance of having a will, etc. This means that there was no

current business to do, but lots of potential business.

But at the end of my dictation notes, I wrote the following: “Let’s

make sure to put him on a drip campaign [using Bill Good Marketing

letters] so we can stay in front of him if he ever changes jobs.”

This past week, he called us and told us that he had changed

jobs and that he wanted to set an appointment to roll over his

401(k).

Over the last few months, we have mailed 4 letters to a 401(k) participant

with a small account balance.

This morning, a guy stopped in the office and said, “I’ve been getting your

letters and liked what I read; I wanted to come in to see you.” His wife (the

participant) just left her employer and now wants to roll her 401(k). She

also has a traditional IRA and a ROTH as well (all somewhere else). So does

he. They are selling a rental property and will have that cash available to

invest as well. So he asked if we could help them with all of it…

He does not have email, but has six figures for us to invest.

Dear Bill: please stop marketing your System to my competitors. They

could save a lot of money on postage.

Bill, I wanted to share with you a great compliment we

received from a client today during our meeting. She

really appreciates the personal things we do for her like

sending birthday letters and letters for holidays such as

Memorial Day. During this conversation she shared that the

pastor (another client of ours) read our Memorial

Day letter to his congregation on Sunday, used it as

the core for his homily, and gave our team credit for it

during the service! This absolutely blew me away and it’s

another example of the impact we can have on people’s

lives outside of simply providing financial advice.

I had a prospect who was procrastinating since the

death of her husband in 2015. She was stalled after

interviewing several advisors. But I sent her drip

letters, birthday letters, holiday letters, and market

“don’t panic” letters over the span of eight months. As

a result, these message campaigns helped me

close a $2.7 million client yesterday.

trying to work with for years. Recently, I sent them

your “Red Bandana” letter. My client called in to say,

“your letter moved my wife to tears. We need to

come in and meet with you.”

They came in, and his spouse moved $800k to my
