TERMS OF AGREEMENT: 1) The terms of this offer are valid until June 30, 2009. The volume level and associated price per school for the term 7/1/08 through 6/30/09 shall be based on the aggregate number of participating schools submitted by ACTEM no later than 6/15/08. 2) The volume level will be determined by the number of participating schools not the number of subscriptions purchased by a school. 3) Discovery Education will enter into a Subscriber Agreement with each individual school or school district for a term starting 7/1/08 through 6/30/09 that must be signed and returned to Discovery Education before services will be provided. 4) Should an ACTEM member elect to purchase a Discovery Education local host solution, MediaShare or a professional development offering, ACTEM will refer those schools/districts directly to Discovery Education. These services are not entitled to the ACTEM discount.

There are two levels of the service: Discovery Education streaming integrates seamlessly into any curriculum with 20,000 images and over 4,200 full-length videos segmented into 42,000 content-specific clips from over 100 educational publishers including Scholastic, BBC, and more. Discovery Education streaming Plus augments Discovery Education streaming library with additional titles from Discovery, AIMS Multimedia, PBS® and Clearvue & SVE with 7,700 full-length videos segmented into 77,000 content-specific clips. Local Host Solutions let schools stream and download Discovery Education content directly from a local server rather than from the Internet, eliminating concerns related to Internet connection speed. The complete Discovery Education digital library is stored on a local server. An added benefit of locally hosting is the option to host a larger video file size, which improves the audio and video quality of the videos. Please contact Discovery for more information.
Locally host video content with your own server: Discovery Education will send its entire video library via firewire-drives; the district/school uploads content to its own server. Drives must be returned to Discovery. Price: $3,000–6,000 depending on configuration.
