As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and

protect those who are most vulnerable, from the

beginning of life to its end, and at every point in between.

During October, the Church in the United States

celebrates Respect Life Month, a time in which we’re

invited to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every

human life. We encourage you to visit the pro-life display

that is located beneath the icon of Our Mother of

Perpetual Help and help yourself to the literature.

The Knights of Columbus are Catholic men, 18 years of age

and older, who are committed to making their community

a better place while supporting their Church and protect-

ing and enhancing their family life. If you would like to join

us, please contact Grand Knight Bob Asahl at 230-3570.

Special Note… We are always looking for NEW Knights. The on-line

induction ceremony takes about 30 minutes and is so easy. Think about it,

we’d love to have you join us. And, right now it’s FREE to join.

Challenge by Supreme Chaplain Archbishop William E. Lori:

During October, I challenge you to make a small financial sacrifice (such

as forgoing a daily cup of coffee, a subscription to a streaming service or

eating out one night) and donate the money you save to the poor.

Second, I challenge you to show your love for your neighbors by partici-

pating in the Faith in Action—Coats for Kids program with your council.

Note: All of the good works done by the Knights of Columbus are guided

by four core principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
