• The UAE Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) is a landmark initiative to bring together artists, architects, scientists, and engineers in a first of its kind collaboration.

• The goal of the Land Art Generator Initiative is to design and construct a series of land art installations across the UAE that uniquely combine aesthetic intrigue with clean energy generation.

US State Incentives - Massachusetts


Massachusetts Commonwealth Solar II Rebates

• Commonwealth Solar II, offered by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (CEC) provides rebates for the installation of grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) systems at residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and public facilities.

• Rebate amounts are based on the total PV system size per building, regardless of the number of electric meters in use and certain other characteristics of the project.

• Grant Type: Production Incentive • Amount: $4 million per year budget • Geographic Focus: Massachusetts • Deadline: Ongoing

Sacramento Feed-in Tariff


Sacramento Municipal Utility District: Feed-in Tariff

• Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) offers a feed-in tariff for combined heat and power (CHP) and various renewable energy technologies. Every renewable energy technology that can be used to satisfy California's renewables portfolio standard is eligible for the feed-in tariff.

• Unlike the feed-in tariffs offered by some European countries, which have a single fixed rate, SMUD's feed-in tariff varies by time of day, season, length of contract and production year.

CEC Commonwealth Solar Stimulus

• Commonwealth Solar Stimulus, administered by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (CEC) and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), provides rebates for the installation of grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) systems at residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and public facilities.

• Rebate amounts are based on the total PV system size per building, regardless of the number of electric meters in use and certain other characteristics of the project.

New Jersey Clean Energy Loans


Edison Innovation Clean Energy Manufacturing Fund – Grants and Loans

• The Edison Innovation Clean Energy Manufacturing Fund (CEMF) is intended to provide assistance for the manufacturing of energy efficient and renewable energy products that will assist Class I renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in becoming competitive with traditional sources of electric generation.

• The total amount of available funding is capped at a maximum of $3.3 million per project. A minimum 50% cash match of total project costs is required to be from non-state derived matching funds.

• Grant Type: Prize / Award • Amount: $10,000 / $1,000 referral fee • Geographic Focus: Italy / International • Deadline: 8th March 2010

• The CleanTech Challenge is a student competition jointly hosted by London Business School and University College London where students from top European business and engineering schools compete in cross-functional teams.
