Ninety per cent of the work done by Clean Room Construction (CRC) goes unseen but we know that the ten per cent that is

seen would not operate effectively unless it was underpinned by a foundation of solid planning and design as well as sound

    technical expertise.

The aim of this company profile is to give you a brief insight into how our capabilities, systems, experience and philosophy have

resulted in us being recognised as one of the leading specialists in the design, construction and maintenance of cleanrooms.

I hope that you enjoy what you read and my colleagues and I look forward to developing a longstanding business partnership with you.

    Enquiry:

We are used to responding to all levels of enquiry detail, ranging from clients who know they need

a controlled environment but are unsure how to specify their requirement, through to clients who

have employed a professional team to produce a detailed performance specification.

Whatever the level of the initial detail, we aim to add value by bringing our extensive experience to

bear. We also ensure that, prior to entering into a contract, we have clearly specified the project

    requirements, costs and timescale.

We welcome the opportunity to assist or lead the development of the project brief with you.

    Contract:

We have worked under varying forms of contract from simple purchase orders to standard forms

of building and engineering contracts. The selection of contract type will normally depend upon the

size and complexity of the project as well as the clients familiarity with contract administration.

Whatever the situation, we will be pleased to advise on the most applicable contract format.

    Project team:

As soon as the project is awarded our project team is appointed and fully briefed. Our standard team comprises a project

director, project manager, electrical engineer, CAD engineer, project administrator and site manager.

For the larger projects the team is augmented by additional project and CAD engineers.

The project team stays with the project from the design development stage through to completion, ensuring continuity.

    Project systems:

We have well-developed project handling systems and procedures which ensure

that the project is executed to the required time, budget and quality.

    Systems include:

    Drawing issue and approval

    Programming

    Procurement scheduling

    Budget control

We aim to satisfy our customers needs by providing them with solutions that are safe, effective, reliable, value for money and

meet or exceed the demands of their

    regulators.

We pride ourselves on encouraging anddeveloping a close working relationship

with all our clients from the very outset of

projects and by doing this we pave the way

for an unequivocal understanding of client

    and contractor roles and responsibilities.

This enables us to work together to find

    the best technical solution.

    Dedicated project managers are appointed

to individual clients so everyone knows who

is responsible for the management of any

given project. These project managers are

on hand to answer queries, review

developments and offer advice on an ongoing

basis during the lifetime of a programme.

All members of the project team are briefed in detail as soon as possible following receipt of the clients firm instructions.

This enables everyone to familiarise themselves with the intricacies of the project at a very early stage, paying particular

attention to the design intent and specification.

The project manager is responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors and suppliers fully understand the scope of the project,

including all health and safety requirements.

The project team is a byword for quality and ensuring that this is maintained is a particular responsibility of the site manager,

who has day-to-day control on site.

CRC has a long-established network of approved subcontractors who work almost exclusively for the company and are

considered an integral part of the project team. They work under the supervision of our own project engineers and site managers

and assist with the following types of work:

All our subcontractors are committed to delivering the same high standards of service associated with CRC and all observe thesame stringent health and safety regulations. Our subcontractors and suppliers undergo a yearly qualification review.

We demand the highest standards from our suppliers and subcontractors and we achieve this by forging strong relationships

with them and maintaining an open dialogue.

Confident in the knowledge that we employ the best specialist subcontractors, we are happy to assume full responsibility for

As a matter of routine, all of CRCs design materials and workmanship

(including labour and materials) are guaranteed for 12 months - subject to

proper maintenance and use - from the certified handover date.

Experience proves that, by implementing a regular maintenance programme,

downtime is minimised, resulting in increased performance and reliability.

Therefore, as far as we are concerned, your project is not finished when we

present you with the final contract handover documentation. In fact this is

usually the start of a very long relationship as we are increasingly being

asked to supply ongoing servicing and validation packages tailored to our

    clients needs.

This means that, once we have handed over comprehensive technical design, operation, testing and maintenance manuals,

including commissioning and testing certificates, CRC can still provide vital support to ensure that your facility continues to

    perform reliably.

Our service is not limited to projects built by us so, if you have existing facilities which require servicing or routine re-certification,

then try our service and validation department. This department offers a professional, friendly and value for money service and

has a growing portfolio of satisfied customers.

Service agreements are flexible and arranged to suit your particular needs. Any combination of the following can be included:

All certification work is carried out in accordance with and documented to

    BS EN ISO 14644 Part 1 1999 and Part 2 2000.

As well as routine servicing and certification, we provide fault diagnosis, system

reviews and plant modifications, all with the full technical backup of our project

engineering department. All our validation engineers are fully trained and CTCB

accredited. Advice is also available on compliance with industry standards and health

    and safety matters.

Our service and validation department can recommend a maintenance and validation

programme tailored to your individual requirements. Call our service manager,

    Steve Poole, for more information.
