The BAG form

Can you create a believable bag out of clay?

What can you show with light and shadow (pos/neg space)?

How will you show a consistent message around all 4 sides?

Design• Choose a theme for the whole piece (unity)

• Be careful about doing anything close to edges – save a 1/2” margin on all sides

• Remember you cannot have interior shapes (like a donut hole) because they will fall out

HOMEWORK:• 4 thumbnails sketches -then choose best to cut templates

•Be sure to plan for cutouts and 5 or more textures that go with your theme

•Keep it simple and not too large or the side may collapse

•Make your slabs first then cut & add texture before building
