Design• Choose a theme for the whole piece (unity)

• Be careful about doing anything close to edges – save a 1/2” margin on all sides

• Remember you cannot have interior shapes (like a donut hole) because they will fall out

build with, but will crack when bent4. DRY LEATHERHARD – dryer still and rigid; will

break when bent5. GREENWARE – bone dry, room temperature, will

snap when bent6. BISQUEWARE – after firing the first time

•Keep it simple and not too large or the side may collapse

•Make your slabs first then cut & add texture before building
