The position performs a variety of engineering tasks, including, but not limited to, designing construction and retirement of the distribution electric system. The ideal candidate should be interested in challenging assignments and will be responsible for single and three-phase designs of overhead and underground electric distribution systems for commercial and residential areas while maintaining good customer relations; have an understanding of electric distribution systems; experience with office and engineering software; ability to read, interpret and understand construction specifications, safety rules, procedure manuals, easements and legal descriptions. Must be a self-motivated individual with a high level of accuracy and the ability to analyze and draw conclusions. Candidate must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and a current First Aid and CPR card. Applicant must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and pre-employment physical in addition to random drug/alcohol testing and background check. Must be 18 years of age or older; be a high school graduate or equivalent. Two years of field experience designing and staking single and three-phase distribution systems with an electric utility is preferred. Excellent pay and benefits.
