Rules

Almost everywhere we go, we have rules.

These rules help us to gain full benefit from the use of resources around us.

Think about it. We must follow the rules in driving in order for everyone to be safe on the road.

Following rules ensures our safety and success in the classroom and school, overall.

Classroom Rules

⌚️⏱⭐️Arrive to class on time.

⭐️If you arrive to class late, enter without disrupting class activities, sign in and take a seat-Join the class quietly.

⭐️Be ready for learning.

⭐️Sharpen your pencils before class begins. Keep your pocket sharpeners handy.

⭐️Come to class with all materials - pencils, paper, spiral notebook, highlighters, colored pencils, pocket sharpeners, etc....

⭐️Remain in your seat/assigned area throughout the class.

⭐️Use bathroom passes with permission from your teacher.

⭐️Respect your peers and adults around you.

⭐️Watch your words, tone, and attitude towards peers and teacher.

⭐️Respect school and classroom property.

Classroom Distractions

No phones 📵unless it is permitted for a teacher-led class activity;No food 🍐🍓🍪;No candy 🍬🍭.

🗣No tapping, drumming, or making noises during class

instruction, group activities, or independent work.

⭐️ No discussions while your teacher is sharing important information.

😠⭐️No horse playing, pushing, shoving or touching -

hands and feet to yourself as you transition from activity to activity or when entering or leaving the

classroom.

😡Misbehaviors😡

⭐️Misbehaviors slow us down.

⭐️Misbehaviors affect everyone around you.

⭐️Therefore, misbehaviors would not be allowed to persist.

👍How Do I Earn Dojo Points or Classroom Tickets?👍

You earn dojo points or classroom tickets by doing the following:

1. Staying on task 👍

2. Turning in assignments on time 👍

3. Following teacher's or substitute's instructions promptly without comments, inappropriate responses or defiant remarks 👍 (Maximum Dojo Points or Classroom Tickets)

4. Participating in discussions in appropriate tones and showing respect for the opinions or contributions of others. 👍 (Maximum Dojo Points/Classroom Tickets)

5. Allowing your teacher to give guidance without interruptions 👍

6. Following all classroom rules 👍
