Increase student engagement and growth. Help all students grow between interim assessments by equipping teachers with quick, informal strategies to assess learning in the moment and make instant adjustments for individuals and groups in all grade levels and subjects.

Accomplish district and school-wide goals. Our workshops and online resources focus on practical, research-based strategies that help teachers differentiate instruction, reinforce Response to Intervention (RTI) efforts, and guide students in developing college and career readiness skills.

Create a cohesive assessment system. By using formative assessment practices alongside data-driven assessments like Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) and Skills Navigator®, educators gain a complete picture of how students are learning and progressing over time.

Hands-on experience. We know how to help learning stick—and it’s not by lecturing. Participants practice strategies in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Relevant content. Teachers stay engaged with content tailored to their needs and opportunities to choose some learning centers in each workshop.

Practical tools to maintain these practices in the classroom. We make it easy to implement, share, and build on the learning. Participants leave with interactive guides to reference later, as well as district-wide access to an online peer community and supplemental learning resources.

“Formative assessment has changed the way we view assessing our kids, has given us many more tools to assess without the onus of grading, and has made us more deliberate about the focus of our lessons.”

Deepen and share the learning district-wideThe research is clear: one-off workshops are ineffective in promoting deep understanding and affecting lasting change. We have developed several options for your whole team to extend their learning from the moment a face-to-face session ends to years later. Use our resources on your own, or share them in your professional learning communities (PLCs).

When your school, district or regional service agency sets up an onsite workshop or regional event, all of your teachers gain access to these complimentary resources.
