    It has its origin in kerala.

    Refers to mohini(beauty) abd attam(dance) i.e. dance ofbeauty.

    Dance is seductress based on tale of vishnutransforming himself to a women in order to seduce lordshiva.

    And lord ayyapan is result of this seduction.

    Performed by white saried women. Involves_persausion,romance ,seduction,erocotism,etc,

    Originated in assam

    It was created by asamees saint,srimatasankardeva

    It depicts mythological stories

    It is performed by bhakotos-male monks

    It accompanies music like:khols ,taals,flute etc.

    KATHAKALLI:

    Originated in kerala it is form of indian dance drama

    Its main elements are most attractive make up,withelaborate costumes,detailed gesture,well defined

    movements. It is comination of five elements viz:

    Natyam-expression,dance-nritham,nrithyam-enactment,getha-song, vadyam-vocal

    Performed to deflect navrasaseg;humuor,anger,love,peace ,etc.

    It is also known as fifth veda.

    Bharatnatyam means: BHA-bhava(expression),RA-raga(music), TA-taal(rhytm)

    Performed on carnatic music

    LASYA-feminine subtleness and gesture

    TANDAVA-macsuline gesture of lord shiva
