Block of Month 2013-2014...!
For this Quilting Season, we’ve chosen a
super fun sampler pattern called “Cobbler
and Cream” designed by Kaye England.
Each block is unique, you’ll learn the tradi-
tional way to make each block or go for
the “easy” method and use the Cut for
the Cure rulers. The quilt contains 12
blocks, so by the end of our program
(May, 2014), you’ll have a made a lovely
quilt! We will make two blocks each
month and present sashing & completion
instructions during the last session.
The “rules” for the 2013-2014 program
are: you pay $10 for the ENTIRE pro-
gram (November 2013 through May,
2014). You must attend one BOM class
each month (two opportunities each
month, the first Saturday mornings, or the
first Tuesday evenings). If you miss a
month, you may re-join by paying an addi-
tional $10.
Each month you’ll receive a COUPON
for 20% off the purchase of YOUR
CHOICE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE
SHOP. Your Coupon can be used anytime
during the current month, but cannot be
combined with other coupons. (Sorry, ex-
cluded are items already on sale, consignment items, gift certificates, and class fees.)
We will hold a DRAWING EACH
MONTH for those that complete both
blocks. DATES for this year’s BOM are
November 2 & 5, December 3 & 7, Janu-
ary 4 & 7, February 1 & 4, March 1 & 4,
April 1 & 5, May 3 & 6.
CLASS INFO: Upon your paid class fees, you receive a 20% discount
on all items needed for class. Payment is needed at
the time of registration to ensure your place!
Lunch (provided by our own Sue Coppin) is always
included in your Class Fee (unless other announced).
This is what we’ve planned so far...keep in touch, we
add classes when you least expect it!
HEXIE GARDEN: January 25, 2014,
10:00 to 4:00. “Hexies” are all the rage
right now...super popular, and this darling
quilt is truly magical! There are NO SET
-IN SEAMS, and this quilt is oh-so easy
with it’s 9-patch technique. It looks far
harder than it really is! Make it in cute
small prints, florals, or batiks...you’ll going
to love it! The pattern comes in lap,
twin, or king sizes. A 60 degree triangle
ruler makes this quilt really easy.
HEXIE GARDEN: January 25, 10 to 4:00. Teacher: Jo Mahoney,
Cost $25. Requisites: Pattern, 60 degree ruler.

CREATIVE DESIGN … DESIGN YOUR
OWN LAND-
SCAPE QUILT: June Jaeger, Teacher.
July 18-19, 2014 Cost,
$100. In this 2 day
class, you will design
your OWN LAND-
SCAPE QUILT, using
one of your own en-
larged photos.
We hosted June
two years ago, and quilt-
ers have been asking for
another class, so we
anticipate this one will
fill early. In this two day
workshop, you will de-
sign your own quilt pat-
tern and construct the
top. June will assist you
in elements and techniques to create your personal
"one of a kind" quilt.
You will learn the use of color, value, intensi-
ty, and shape to keep the eye moving throughout the quilt. "Y" seams, curved piecing, and many other
techniques will be covered in this relaxing "no rule"
atmosphere. If you have started something and don't
know where to go with it, June can help you master
that too. This workshop is designed for the interme-
diate and advanced quilters.
Dates for CREATIVE DESIGN are July 18-19,
2014. Teacher: June Jaeger, Cost: $100
Using June’s book,
“Adventures in Landscape
Quilting,” you’ll learn to
design YOUR OWN
landscape quilt!
We’ll be
adding more classes from
time to time!
Stay Tuned!
Sangria Synergy … GORGEOUS!
