• Academies create 4 small schools in which students and teachers are grouped based on college/career-themed interests

• There are 4 Academies at Shiloh and each academy offers 2-3 college/career-themed Majors

• Although students are in a career-themed major, they are encouraged to complete non-academy specific “minors” in Advanced Academics, Fine Arts, and World Languages

• All students MUST have a major unless they are in the IB Diploma Programme

• Students are discouraged from changing Academies. They may only change between 9th and 10th grade with approval from their counselors

Finalizing Registration

• Packets will go home tomorrow.

• Review teacher recommendations of core classes. They will choose the 4 core classes.

• You and your child will select your elective choices, an academy elective, and your PE/Health/ROTC option.

• Course Requests are due back to the Middle School by February 25th.

• If we do not get a form back, classes will be chosen for your child.
