MIchael MarcelinoOh, hello! My name is Michael Marceli-no. I am 20 years old, and a second year OSTMH student at Vanier College. I enjoy design a lot, especially web design and web development. Although we’ve been learning a lot of web de-velopment since the beginning of the program, I have taught myself a lot of coding before we even began here! As a graduate from the law program here at Vanier (before OSTMH), I had gotten accepted into Concordia to study and major in Psychology. However, I turned that down to come back to Vanier in this amazing program as I knew design was for me. This truly is my passion!

In the future, I aspire to be a successful web developer. I don’t need to necessarily make a lot of money, however that would be nice. Personally, success is defined and measured by health and happiness. And so, if I work in an environ-ment that makes me happy and with people I enjoy working with, my career will be a success. Addi-tionally, if I am healthy and live a decent lifestyle, my aspirations couldn’t have become any better.

So far, I am having a blast in our program! The things we are learning are so interesting to me that I enjoy every second of it. I have made many great friends that I will surely cherish for the rest of my life. My favorite subject or field in our program is definitely web development and web design! Although it is super frustrating when things don’t work out the way they are supposed to when coding, figuring out the solu-tion gives me the greatest feel-ing and satisfaction in the world!

Hello, my name is Marianne and I’m an Italian Canadian born on the 5th of December in 1994. Aside from having a passion for design, I am fixated with watching television shows and movies. The amount of knowledge I have of random movie and/or TV facts would shock anyone. I sometimes wish my life was a TV sitcom. Anyway, I absolutely adore dogs and have an obsession with Ed Sheeran. I didn’t start off at Vanier. I was enrolled in another college and I went through more than one program before I found the OSTMH program. Some might say I wasted time, but I do not see it that way. I would not change the experiences I had and the people I met along the way. One day, somewhere, I finally found my passion; and that was the happiest moment of my life.

About Me

My Vanier ExperienceSo far, I’ve had a very enjoyable experience in OSTMH. I wouldn’t reverse any of the moments that have happened here in this program, from getting to know inspirational teachers and meeting new and incredible friends. Our experience here at Vanier has shaped every detail about us. We lived in the moments, we made mistakes, we made wonderful memories. We’ve never second guessed who we are, where we’ve been, and most importantly, where we are going.

My Favorite DesignerOlly Moss is my favorite graphic designer and illustrator. He is best known for giving film posters and book covers a creative new edge. His reimagining of film and book covers have always caught my eye and he is truly an inspiration.

My AmbitionsMy ambition is to be the best that I can be. I want to create something of my own, start to finish, and let it sink or swim. I will most likely keep living in Montreal, but I will definitely travel and see more of the world. In the end, I just want to be happy.
