1. MONITORING THE FUTURE SURVEY
On March 29 in Senior English classes, students will take this annual survey from the University ofMichigan. The survey gathers national data from high school students about study and social habits and
attitudes. St. Rita has participated in the survey annually. It is assumed all seniors will take the survey
unless a parent calls Mrs. Kelliher at ext. 6652 to indicate that his or her son will not be taking the survey.
2. SURVEY OF AUGUSTINIAN HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WHO ARE 18 YEARS OLD
During the week of April 4-8, seniors will complete a survey sponsored by Fr. Rich Young, who is finishing
his preparations for joining the Augustinian Friars.
3. ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMS

4. GRADUATION CAPS, HOODS and GOWNS will be distributed on Friday, May 13, during thelunch periods. Please hang your gown in your locker for Graduation Practice the following week.
5. SENIOR PROM will be on Saturday, May 14, at Beverly Country Club, 87 th and Western.
6. FINAL EXAMS and GRADUATION PRACTICE
Monday, May 16 5th and 6th Period Exams
Tuesday, May 17 3rd and 4th Period Exams
Wednesday, May 18 1st and 2nd Period Exams/Graduation Practice
AS USUAL, SENIORS REPORT ONLY TO THOSE CLASSES IN WHICH EXAMS ARE BEING HELDON THESE DAYS. ALL SENIORS must be present for graduation practice. Graduation tickets will be
distributed at Graduation Practice. Those who do not have a 2nd period exam must still report at thebeginning of third period on Wednesday, May 18.
SENIORS ARE NOT TO LOITER AROUND THE BUILDING ON MAY 16-18.

At the end of the 2nd period, all seniors will report to the chapel, wearing their graduation gown, along with
the gold hood, but not the cap. We will take a class picture on the altar at that time. Students must wearschool pants and school shoes.
After the picture is taken, seniors are to return their gowns and hoods to their lockers and then meet in the
gym to begin the practice. Teachers will be present in the athletic wing/gym to direct the graduation
practice. At the conclusion of the practice, we will have a senior barbeque in your honor.
7. GRADUATION ADMISSION TICKETS
In order to participate in graduation, receive admission tickets or pick up your report card and diploma,
YOUR TUITION AND OTHER FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS MUST BE MET. Each graduate will be
given 4 admission tickets. No extra admission tickets are available this year.
Admission tickets will be distributed on Wednesday, May 18, at graduation practice.
8. GRADUATION SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2010 10:30 A.M.
You must wear a plain white or pastel colored shirt with a plain tie. Dress pants and dress shoes are to beworn.
All graduates must be clean-shaven, and earrings are prohibited.
Report to the Gymnasium NO LATER THAN 9:30 A.M. Dress in your cap and gown in the Gymnasium
It would be best to leave your coat in your car so you wont have to leave it in the Gymnasium or wear itunder your gown.
Line up in the corridor as you did during practice. The two lines will begin outside the Gymnasium. THEPROCESSION TO CHAPEL WILL BEGIN AT 10:00 A.M. SHARP. You will lead the faculty into the
Chapel; they will lead you out after the ceremony.
You will not receive your diploma on graduation day instead you are handed the diploma cover when youname is called.
Remind your parents and guests to get to the Chapel early so they can find adequate seating; also remindthem that photo taking and video recording are restricted to the back half of the church so that no one blocks
the view of other graduates.
A reception with refreshments will follow the ceremony in the Dining Hall.
Family pictures may be taken in the courtyard, in front of the school, or in the Cahapel after the entire
ceremony is concluded.
KEEP YOUR CAP, TASSEL AND GOWN THEY ARE NOT RETURNED TO SCHOOL.
9. REPORT CARD/DIPLOMA PICK-UP FRIDAY, May 27
Return to school to pick up your report card and diploma. You should report between 10:00 a.m. and 12
noon.
