STANFORD REUNION HOMECOMING WEEKEND: OCTOBER 21–24, 2010 CLASS O F 1960 Dear Classmate, This is our Big One! Only two months to go before our 50th reunion and it is exciting to see the momentum and enthusiasm build! We are planning a reunion that is diverse, uniquely ours, stimulating and fun. The best parts always are the people – the ones you know and the ones you are about to meet and/or rediscover. Feed your brain with a staggering array of in- tellectual programs including Classes Without Quizzes taught by Stanford faculty and the Saturday Roundtable. More food for thought will be offered by the ever popular Class Panel, organized this year by Dick Olsen, and featuring classmates who continue to inspire by leading the lives of sung and unsung heroes. Social highlight will be the Friday Night Class Party organized by Maryanna Gerbode Stockholm in an elegant on-campus setting with superb food, a hosted bar, and music for listening and dancing. We will also have a short preview of the Ram’s Head Revue on tap for Saturday night, organized by Carol McKanna Mitchell, Geri Wilder French and Mike Chambreau. Mini-Reunions are being held throughout the weekend. The ever-popular Ladies Lunch will start the weekend on Thursday. Co-Chaired by Jan Forker Cummins, Marge Waite Throndson-Bottini, Carol Bachman Seeds-Glathe and Janet Bennie Heilman. Don Peter is shepherding our Tailgate on Saturday afternoon, and our class being honored during halftime on the football field. Check the reunion website to keep up with all the latest developments, see who’s registered, and what Mini-Reunions are being planned. (http://www.stanfordalumni.org/1960reunion) To add your own two cents about the reunion, or whatever else is on your mind, check out our 50th Reunion Forum at www.Stanford1960.com. Don’t worry that you won’t know anyone. There will be plenty of opportunities to revive forgotten connections and forge new friendships with people who share your current interests. Each of us who attends the reunion will add to the richness of the experience for everyone. Even if you can’t come for the entire weekend, plan to participate for a day or two. You’ll be glad you did – and so will we. With all best wishes, Julie Hirsch Wedekind ’60 Susan Boyle ’60 Jim Allen ’60 Events Chair Attendance Chair Class President P.S.
