Namaste! Unarguably, the much anticipated part of this school year for class II children has been the transition to senior campus from the junior campus and in the case of new joinees, transition to new school. The warmth of our Acharyas and Harishree’s time tested and continuously maturing system proved to be a success in handling this transition! Children look forward to each day of school and they simply love the variety the senior campus offers them in terms of dance, music, art, library, yoga, free play, PT classes apart from the subject classes. Parent community is extremely grateful to the Vilvam Acharyas for the warmth, firmness and friendliness they exude during their day to day interaction with the kids. The kids are made to feel secure and the Acharyas partner with them in the knowledge gaining process! Parents are also deeply appreciative of the material, methods used to make learning an enjoyable and wholesome experience. One remarkable example of this is the team based learning exercises which are adopted to ensure that the concept being learnt is strongly instilled in each child.
The class II community project for this year was “Model Restroom”. Kids have participated in preparing charts listing and depicting Dos and Don’t’s for rest room usage, rest room inspection & reporting and
listened to doctor’s address on the importance of personal hygiene. The success of this project is evident in the enthusiasm with which kids practice the Dos and Donts of rest room usage at home and spread the message to the rest of the family and
among friends!
Harishree’s unique working model of actively involving parents in celebrations is a source of extreme joy for the parents and kids alike! This also helps establish a sense of belonging and bond among the parents.
Apart from all this fun Vilvam children, along with the rest of the school was part of many celebrations and events. Some are listed below

Kishore Sreenivasan “Tintin-The Secret of the Unicorn:Book Review & a drawing”
The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of the Unicorn Written by Hergé Tin Tin is a comic book. The book is about Tin Tin and his adventures. Tin-Tin solves the problems. In this book, The Secret of the Unicorn, he goes to a street market and buys a toy ship. Someone else also wants the toy ship and they steal it from his home. He catches the thief and solves the mystery. I like the two policemen detectives Thompson and Thompson who are act very silly. I like how the Captain Hoddock says “Ten thousand thundering typhoons” and “blistering Barnacles”. Pictures in the book are very beautiful and interesting. The adventure is exciting and funny.
