Christ Church Roof Fund

The children at Parracombe have been collecting coins to raise money to go towards the roof repairs at Christ Church. The board can now be found in the Church where people can add to the £12 already raised by the children. Well done everybody.

Federation Ethos (Vision & Values) Day

We are pleased to invite you to our Federation’s upcoming Ethos Day, this coming Monday 10th June at Lynton CE Primary School. You would be most welcome to come and take part in some or all of the day, beginning at 10am with an assembly to introduce the thinking and learning, followed by the workshops before and after lunch break, and concluding with a ‘gathering’ of our ideas and responses at about 2pm.We hope you will be able to join us!

Mini Olympics

On Thursday 6th June, Elderberries had a great time at the local learning community's Mini-Olympics in Ilfracombe. In lovely morning sunshine, we travelled to Killacleave playing field wherever the Academy's PE students led us in running, jumping and throwing events alongside other Key Stage 1 pupils from our area. The staff were proud of all the pupils' effort and enthusiasm, and it was wonderful to see every child awarded a bronze, silver or gold sticker for at least one event. Hurdling races were especially popular, so much so that, on our return to school, we spent some of the afternoon recreating the event and improving our skills with Kentisbury's hurdling equipment! Watch out for some speedy Elderberries at the upcoming Federation sports day...

Little BerriesWe would like to welcome Alexander Tucker, Lily-May Jordan Davies and Gabriel Morgan to our setting and wish them a wonderful time with us!Reminder to all parents to apply sun cream to their children the morning of their session and provide them with sun hats so they can enjoy the beautiful weather safely.

After Monday 1st July any remaining tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

We will look forward to seeing you there!

AttendanceAs you know poor attendance in school has a direct effect on children education and achievement. Our target in school is to have 95% attendance. Although we appreciate some absence is unavoidable we’d appreciate parents doing their best to ensure their child/ren are at school and that holidays are taken during school holidays. It is also very important that children are here on time as lateness is recorded as an absence. This is an area that OFSTED have identified as an area for improvement.

Scholastic Book FairWe are pleased to announce that we are having a book fair at Lynton School on Thursday 20th June to Monday 24th between 3:30 and 4:00.
