Warm the students up with the songs ‘head, shoulders,… from you tube. Encourage them to point to different parts of their body as they sing. Then show different flash cards of body parts (Flashcard # 38 – 42). Play the audio and let the students practice the correct pronunciation. (Audio CD 1 track # 30, 31)

Encourage the students to differentiate between one arm and two arms. Focus on the end sound of ‘s’. Elicit from the students plurals of different nouns. Then tell them that ‘this is’ is ‘friend’ of one object. And ‘these are’ is ‘friend’ of more than one object so they are always together. GROUP WORK: Each group pastes the correct beginning for each sentence. (Worksheet attached)

Students try to differentiate between single nouns and plural nouns and use proper beginning for them.

Warm up the students with the song “old MacDonald…” Let them look at the different animals pictures and identify their body parts. Integrate with English. Reinforce the use of singular and plural nouns. Then show them the pictures including wild and domestic animals and ask them to classify the pictures into animals they can see in a farm or someone’s home and animals that can live ONLY in jungle or zoo.

Students participate in singing the song and classify the animal pictures.
